It is all about Roofs this week.

It seems that most things have revolved around roofs in our lives this week.
On the weekend Steve and Chloe took a little road trip.
Chloe took her car and they headed off to Bundaberg. The left in the early hours of Saturday morning and enjoyed this.
A beautiful early morning sunrise. We don't often get to see them. We are normally night owls, so I know they really enjoyed seeing the beautiful colours across the sky as the sun rose.

They headed to Bundaberg so that they could spend the weekend doing this.
Steve's parents needed a new roof put on their house, so he and his brother and nephews got in an managed to completely reroof the house and the shed over the weekend.
Chloe did what she could to help but she also got to catch up with a friend for lunch on Saturday and then on Sunday she headed to the beach with Miss Fiona.
While these guys were in Bundy, I was busy back home attending our monthly scrapbooking Saturday. I'm afraid I wasn't hugely productive. Didn't even quite get one Layout finished, but I did manage to make a birthday card, which I will share at some time down the track.

Whilst my crew were in Bundaberg, I also got to have a sleepover down at the beach with my good friend Jannett's at her beach house. We had a lovely day on Sunday. No photos as I forgot to take my camera. We went to the Emu Park Markets down at the beach, and had a little spend up. Fresh fruit and vegies, then we came home and had a lovely cooked Bacon and Egg breakfast out on the back patio, before we headed off to Yeppoon to have Coffee out and visit the new scrapbooking shop there. We both spent too much, but have come home with a lovely assortment of papers and embellishments to help motivate and inspire us for our scrapbooking retreat in a couple of weeks time.

Roofs have been the focus at our place this week too, with this happening the past couple of days.
Our roof has gone from a dirty green colour to this lovely terracotta colour. It is looking so good. All we need to do now is give the house a good paint. That might be a while coming yet though.

The next month is going to be extremely busy - trips away every weekend. It is only a fortnight until our Scrap Retreat and my good friend Barb arrives. So looking forward to catching up with her. Meanwhile I have heaps to organise still and layouts to work out. Never enough hours in the day.

It's been a good week though and I have lots to be thankful for.
Today I am grateful for

1. Wonderful warm and caring friends.
2. Wonderful family.
3. A great job and encouraging bosses.
4. love the town I live in and how it is only 15 minutes from one side of town to the other.
5. my new phone and how I now can keep in touch with everyone any time of day.
6. my secret sister
7. that we have been able to get our roof painted this week.
8. God's word - and the guidance and encouragement it is to my life, especially this week.
9. fresh air and sunshine - God's goodness to us.
10. celebrating birthdays - lots of special ones this month.
