Enjoying some Warmth
It is freezing cold here today..... I have spent most of the day in front of this.
I had great plans for today. I had a long list of jobs to do today. It's my first Saturday home in almost six weeks, I was going to do all the washing, including doona covers, my cotton blanket, mop floors, vacum, dust, clean the bath, but not a lot happened here at all. It has rained all day and been FREEZING cold, so consequently, I didn't want to move to far from the fire.
I made this messworking on this
It is still a work in progress... the perfect sort of day to sit and scrapbook.
I have been busy this week, we have had a public holiday on Wednesday for our Carnival Show. My friend Ann and I worked on these.
We had our "Secret Sisters Reveal" Dinner last night, and Ann and I were responsible for the planning the evening and the decorations. You have no idea how hard it was to find these little pots for our table arrangements. Each person received a scroll with a question, and each person received an envelope with an answer. If you had the answer to someone's question, that person had been your secret sister for the year. Numbers were a little down this year, as a few of the girls were away for the long weekend (including our Chloe)
It was a good night. Here are some of the photos.
Some of the girls
It was a good night. Home a little earlier than usual.
That might have had something to do with how cold it was. We are not used to this sort of weather in Rocky.
Chloe is having a ball in Sydney. She has climbed the Harbour Bridge. Can't wait to see her photos. She rang us as soon as she got down. Totally amazing experience. Sounds like she is having an awesome time - I am sure she won't want to come home.
Still finding Pinterest very interesting... loving the eye candy... it's all about doors.
These couple are all about coloured eye candy....... loveing some of these shots.
I'm sure I'll have another post coming up in the next couple of days when Chloe gets home. Will also have some layouts to share. If this awful weather sticks around, I am sure hoping that some more creativity kicks in and I get a few more layouts done. Just might help me to catch up on the huge back log of photos sitting on my scrap desk.
So many things to be thankful for this week. I am so blessed.
1. Secret Sisters, and their encouragement and prayer for me throughout the past year.
2. Having an open fire place and being able to enjoy its warmth.
3. Photos of precious memories, especially of family times together..... being able to scrapbook them to preserve those memories.
4. Doona's and being able to snuggle up under them together.
5. Mobile Phones - and being able to keep in touch with those you love.... and also see their photos.
6. My lovely friends Kathy and Jenni, and for the celebration of
their lifes, especially Kathy as she turns 60 this week ( NO WAY)
7. Answers to pray for my girlfriend Barb this week, and good results from medical tests. It wasn't looking so good this time last week.
8. Daily Bible Verses that pop up on my phone each day. It is amazing how applicable a lot of those verses are to situations that happen during the course of the day.
9. The Lord wooing me back to him. I know he is always with me, but sometimes in my busyness of life, I tend to slack off. I love the gentleness of the Lord.
10. Seeing beautiful things all around me.
