Layouts from our Scrap Retreat

Finally finished off all the journalling on my layouts from our scrap retreat weekend. Can't beleive I got so many done. I did have some inspiration both these two great scrapbookers.
Unfortunately the photos aren't the best, Manged to do these double layouts too. These photos have been sitting on my desk for over 12 months so it has been good to finally get them scrapped.

And finally I got to scrap some of the photos from our Christmas in Melbourne. It is the first Latham family Christmas with some of Steve's family for many years.

In other catch up news.

Whilst I was away on our scrap retreat weekend, Steve pulled a class of his senior students back on a Saturday morning for a catch up class. It has been a pretty short term in Qld this term, and with so much going on with all subjects, he really wanted to fit in another lesson before the exam blocks. The kids were really good in giving up their time to turn up so he cooked breakfast for them all. Pancakes, cream and maple syrup. Managed to convince Chloe to go up and give him a hand.
Think he enjoyed them as much as the kids. Bit of a change to have your teacher wearing an apron whilst teaching a class.

Chloe has decided she wants to learn this.
She has been teaching herself and doing a great job of it too. She is dedicated, she practices everyday, she watches YouTube Video's and has ordered some books to help her. She has had a lend of this guitar but has decided to get one of her own after her trip away.

She has been busy using her new camera. In fact the above photos were self taken, and she has managed to capture these shots of around our neighbourhood. She is practicing so that she can take some awesome photos when she goes away on a mini holiday this weekend.

She is getting very excited now. She has one more sleep until she leaves to go do this.

She is off to Sydney. She has been wanting to do this since she watched the Oprah show come Down Under. She was to do it with some friends from up this way but that all fell through, but I am so glad that she decided to follow her dream and just do it anyway. She is catching up with a friend in Sydney and doing it with her. So on Friday afternoon she will be on the top of here.

I know she is going to have an awesome few days away.

I've discovered Pinterest this week - oh I could spend hours looking at it. Just thought I would share some of its love around.

And finally I am:

listening : To the latest "Starlight Theatre" CD at the moment. Loving their songs "Clearview" amd "How Long"
eating : Quiche and Tossed Salad....
drinking : Hot Chocolate Mocha's but it must have marshmallows in it.
craving :
Mandarins
wearing : Shorts and Polo Shirt and of course my joggers...
feeling : Peaceful and contented.... nice to have had a day at home today.
weather : Over cast, with a cold change coming in.
wanting : Scrap something, but what????
needing : To do a good clean up of the house.
wondering : If I can pull off doing my exercises every day and going for a week each consecutive day for at least a week.

Would love to hear from you if you are dropping by my blog. Say hi and leave a message.

oh what FABULOUS pages, Karen!
Cameron (12) was interested in learning guitar a little while back...but seems to be happy playing/learning the drums. WTG Chloe on self-teching. Where would we be without YouTube and google... LOL!

Amber taught herself to knit on YouTube! I was learning how to smock but as with most things...quit! I'm glad Chloe is doing well and persevering! I wish I had your talent with scrapbooking. I do ok but would love to have just an ounce of your creativity! I hope all is well with your family.
