HOUSE FULL OF FLOWERS

I have a lovely daughter,  she bought these home this week for me, just because she loves me.... How blessed am I  to have such a lovely thoughtful daughter.

Beautiful flowers from Chloe
Such a lovely surprise.

I have been spoilt with flowers this week.  These were growing in our garden

Flowering outside out lounge room
The very next day after photographing these lovely blooms, this is what my husband bought in from our garden for me.  The fragrance is just filling our dining room. These are by far my most favourite flowers.
My very favourite flowers.

No wonder the birds are driving us crazy each morning with their early morning cheeping.  This grevilla bush is flowering prolifically outside our bedroom window.    Beautiful beautiful flowers, but the early morning wake up calls are driving us all insane.  I hope that when this bush stops flowering, that the birds will find somewhere else to gather.

Last Night Steve cooked up a feast.  We had friends over and feasted on these

A wonderful feed of Qld Mud Crabs.
These are a huge delicacy.  If we were to go buy them in the shops, they would cost us close to $50 each, so we ate them last night enjoying every mouthful.

What else have I been doing this past week,  I have finally pulled out my sewing machine and done some sewing.  Steve bought me a brand new sewing machine for Christmas, but with holiays and then living on the coast with Mum during the last weeks of her life,  I really haven't had a chance to use it until Chloe asked me to make her some costumes a couple of weeks ago.  I have been busy sewing some baby things for Sarah.  I have been making Hooter Hiders, baby burp clothes and little drawstring bags to put them in.  Love the way they have turned out.

Fun with my new sewing machine.
I am super keen now to get in and do some more baby sewing done.  Have bought a couple of patterns and stocked up on some fabrics.  It would be more fun if we knew what Sarah was having, but no doubt we will enjoy the surprise when the baby is born in 3 and a half months time.

In closing thought I would share these couple of quotes I found this week.

Life has been quite stressful in this house this year... It's been a hard year,  much harder than I realized,  so it is nice to have some little reminders about enjoying each day, and cherishing the special moments.

Getting quite excited now,  only 10 more sleeps until Pete arrives home in Australia from his big overseas trip.  I am so looking forward to him coming home.
