It is a perfect day here today... Hardly a cloud in the sky and beautiful sunny weather. We managed to make church today. It seems like a couple of months since we have been, with being away on holidays and then getting so sick as soon as I got home.
We ended up down here.

Earlier this morning we decided to pack a bit of a picnic lunch and head to Lake Mary for a picnic to make the most of the beautiful weather. We have been so house bound with being sick over the last few weeks, that we both felt like fresh air and sunshine. It's years since we have been to Lake Mary, so thought we would go exploring and have a picnic lunch there. Well we travelled down numerous dirt roads in our search of the lake, but somehow couldn't quite find it. Think next time we need to do some research before we leave home. The last time we went to Lake Mary, the kids were all living at home. All in all we had a lovely drive through the countryside on dirt roads we have never been down before. Anyway we couldn't find the lake and ended up coming back onto the highway and since by this stage we were feeling a little hungry we decided to head down through Cawarral and headed to Emu Park. We headed to Bell Park overlooking the beach where we had a lovely picnic with a full view of the ocean. (There is something soothing and relaxing sitting down watching the ocean)

Lots of other people obviously had a similar idea as there were quite a few people down there. It was lovely to see so many families out enjoying the the beauty of the Capricorn Coast.

It was really singing plenty today too...
This really is a beautiful piece of coastline. It has taken me many years to appreciate it. I think it took our big trip down south to help me realize just how beautiful and natural this part of our coastline is, and just how pretty it is with all the little islands out to sea.

It is a shame that our lives get so busy at times, and we don't take the time to get out and enjoy that which God has given us....
Steve and I have been making a conscious effort in the last few weeks, of taking an hour or two each weekend to take time out to spend some time together and enjoy that which God has blessed us with.... it is too easy to get caught up in the business of our lives that those moments get put aside.
There will be busy weeks ahead when we won't manage it, but we are grasping every opportunity we can at the moment. Just taking the time to really talk and share has been refreshing.... We have really needed to do that this year.
