EASTER IN DENMARK...

This Easter was not what Pete and Maria had planned either.. They had booked to go to France with their good friends Warwick and Amanda but due to Covid 19 that all got cancelled as well, so both Pete and Maria had a weeks annual leave that they didn't want to spend being holed up at home...

They have already been isolated for a month in a one bedroom apartment so were keen to get away from the city and get a little fresh air...
Unlike Australia, the Danish Government wanted the Danes to get out and get some fresh air whilst still following social distancing rules...

Pete and Maria ended up booked an isolated Air BnB on the Danish Coast, away from everyone but in an area where they could go for lovely long walks along the headlands, or through the forests.  They even went and checked out a house for sale in the area whist they were thee...

Lovely house too... just a pity it wasn't a bit closer or both Pete and Maria to their work in Copenhagen.

Their AirBnB was considerably larger and roomier than their apartment back in Copenhagen and it also had a lovely deck out the front overlooking the ocean...

  They didn't plan to do much up there just chill out and socially distance themselves from everyone..
Lots of sleeping and lots of ready, walks around the farm,  walks through the forest, walks on the beach and headlands and even a swim or two, even though the water was only 7 degrees.

 Theo is probably a little to young to really understand what Easter is all about, however, they did do a a one big egg Easter Hunt with Theo so that he could find the egg out in the garden...

 Not sure Theo has tasted Chocolate before but he certainly enjoyed this lot....

He is certainly enjoying his chocolate but I am also surprised at how neat and clean he has remained whilst eating it...

 Theo also managed to meet some sheep and goats whilst he was sheltering in this part of the country.  He is really interested in animals at the moment and all the noises that they make.  We only have to name an animal and he will make the sound for us... so darn cute....

Both Pete and Maria have had a good week away.  I don't think they are looking forward to going home tomorrow.  It has been so nice for them to be able to get out and enjoying the fresh air and sunshine away whilst still social distancing... Once they head home, they will pretty much be back into isolation again...
