CATCHING UP WITH FRIENDS....

It has been almost two and a half months since we have gone into lockdown or isolation and things are just starting to open up again here now... We are still required to keep our social distancing in place but we are beginning to catch up with each other again...

This week I got to catch up with my friend Angela up at our Botanical Gardens for morning tea.  It has probably been a good six or seven months since we have last caught up with each other....
The Kiosk up at the Gardens is a lovely spot to meet... there are a heap of tables and seats set up under the grand old fig trees... Such a lovely spot...

 We spent a good couple of hours chatting about our families and then our travels... Nick and Angela were in Israel earlier this year and only arrived back in Australia just as we closed our borders to international travel.  It was good to hear a few of the stories about some of the amazing things they saw on their travels....

The birds were also our friends this morning as we enjoyed our time together..

 These birds are tame...
They come and eat the scraps off your tables...
They even perch on your head....

 Definitely plan to catch up a little more frequently than the once a year it has been fr the last couple of years.
