EXCITING NEWS - THEY ARE ABOUT TO MOVE....

 Exciting news here as Dan and Chloe start packing. 

It is an exciting move for them as they have bought their first home... It has been a long journey for them as they have been looking to buy for just over twelve months now.   They had a couple of houses they have been real keen on but either the building inspections didn't bring good news or they were out bid by other folk... 

The timing couldn't have been more perfect this time, as the unit they have lived in for the past two and a half years has just been sold and they only had to the end of September before they needed to move.   This house has been a real answer to prayer for them...

They have had a hard time finding a suitable house as they both work in the city and they wanted to live within a half hour's train or bus ride to the city as they didn't want to spend a couple of hours each day commuting to work.   This meant that prices were high and these homes were in high demand...

This home is in an awesome suburb, close to the city and a couple of major shopping centres.  It is also less than 20 minutes to her sister's house so will mean they will be able to still visit it each regularly.

The contract has now gone unconditional, and they have less than a month now before they move...

I am so glad that the other houses they were keen on didn't work out as this home is just perfect for them... Very little work to be done to it, as it has been completely renovated in the last three years and the downstairs area is a fully self contained unit so will be able to rent it out to help subsidies their repayments at least for the next couple of years....

One of the two things that sold this house to our kids was the great back deck on the home for entertaining.  It is quite large and I am sure they will spend a lot of time living out here....

 The kids are quite excited about this area as it will allow them to have all the family around for major celebrations like Christmas and birthdays.

The main living area of the home is open plan with plenty of space and the floors are all nicely polished...

The house is completely airconditioned and all five bedrooms are built in.  Such a bonus as it cuts down on extra furniture...

The other real selling point for the kids was the self contained unit downstairs.  This unit has no internal staircase making it ideal to rent out or use as a granny flat for when family come to stay...

 They are due to move in at the start of the school holidays so it loos like Steve and I will be spending most of our time down there on the holidays.  As both Dan and Chloe will still be working, I guess we will be doing a lot of unpacking for them..

 

Unlike when Sarah and Colin moved into their place, Dan and Chloe's home needs very little work done to it.  I will definitely be taking photos of it when they style it and make it their own.

We are so excited for them... Such a big year...
