Our Danish family have been celebrating...

September is a big month of birthdays with both Maria's Dad and Theo celebrating their birthdays...

The kids got together with Carl-Emil to celebrate his birthday on the Saturday...

Out to a restaurant for dinner...

The following day whilst family was all in town, it was time to celebrate Theo's birthday. Pete and Maria had a family party for him in the courtyard of their apartments. A marque was set up and Theo had a ball... not only did he have a ball he was spoilt rotten..

In Denmark, the Danish flag plays an important role in their celebrating... They use it to decorate Christmas Trees, they wave flags on their birthdays... They are very patriotic.

His present from us arrived on his Birthday and Pete and Maria photographed him opening it for us... We ended up getting him a beginner's wooden train set.... We couldn't decide on this or some duplo but as he already had a little box of Duplo and no trains we went with the train and tracks. Our other grandson Max loves all his trains so we were hoping that Theo would also....
