A VISIT TO THE AVONDALE GARDENS NURSERY IN GRACEMERE...
This is one of my all time favourite nurseries to visit and especially at Christmas Time. We were going to be taking a good friend out for lunch today to celebrate her 70th birthday and as Marg LOVES her garden, we thought it would be nice to buy her a nice plant for it...
Marg is having a big birthday celebration on Saturday night but we were going to miss it as we would be in Bundaberg...
Anyway as Avondale Gardens Nursery is my favourite nursery, I decided to take a trip out here to pick a up lovely plant for Margaret...
It is an absolute Christmas Wonderland at the moment....
Stunning does not even begin to describe it...
And this was all just the outside of the building before you even got into the front door...
Inside was stunning... so much Christmas... I so wish that I had Willow here to share it with her, as she would have absolutely loved it, especially the fairy house...
Then you walk inside and it is to another level, just breathtaking... Not sure how much of this is for sale or whether it is just their Christmas display, but it is worth the visit out here just to look and take it all in...
Then you head out the back into the garden and there is always new and wonderful things to see there also...
There was a lovely section with animals this time, lots of chimps, giraffes, snakes etc. I haven't seen there here before...so much variety...
Then you come to the fairy house. I would love to take Willow out here one day, as I am sure she would love it... I always enjoy seeing what is stocked in here, and this visit they had lots of fairy houses along with numerous different fairies...
They no longer had the plan I wanted in stock so I had to decide on another one.... I ended up getting a purple flowering plant as I know purple is Marg's favourite colour... I sure hope she likes it...
Plant we bought for Marg for her birthday... |
Then it was back into the little shop to pay for my plant and I was still drooling over the beautiful Christmas displays.. I think working in here would be my dream job....
I'm so glad that I managed a Christmas visit out to the Nursery. Every time I come out here, there is something different and I always leave drooling...
