NEW YEAR'S DAY...

 It was a great way to start the new year...

Dan and Chloe and Dan's family joined us for dinner tonight... We had a special meal al together and then played games... 

We had a special New Year's Day feast...

We had roast pork, spare beef ribs, prawns and chicken kebabs, along with roasted potatoes, sweet potatoes and beetroot.  We also had pumpkin, figs, walnuts, and feta salad, and a lovely wombok salad. We had plenty of food, in fact, both Steve and I had enough left overs to feed us for the next couple of days...

We were pretty full after our first course so we decided to have a game of Dixit before Desert..  We love to play board games when we all get together and this was a new game to the Bertucci's.  We actually played in pairs having four teams...

After we played this game it was time for desert...

Chloe had offered to supply desert this evening and made a Snicker's Triffle.  She did an wonderful job with it, it looked amazing...  It was very rich and we could only have a small serve of it.  It also needed the ice cream to balance out the richness... But oh my gosh it was really amazing....

We were still all in pretty jovial moods after we had eaten our desert so then decided to have a game of Articulate.  This is one of the Bertucci's favourite games and they had bought it over...  

We played this game in teams, the girls verse the boys.  It also is a great game, and one I probably wouldn't mind getting here also.

It was well after 11pm by the time we finished playing this game, but we honestly have had a best night and it was a great way to see in the New Year...  We really must get together with these guys more often.  We really do enjoy their company and always have a great time with them...
