Recovering

It's been a rough week. I've had the worse dose of the flu. Haven't had it like this for years. Very high fevers, aching all over, dreadful cough, just wanting to sleep sleep and sleep some more. Although I went back to work today after having four days in bed, in hindsight, I probably should have had at least another day off to recover. I may even do that yet tomorrow, depending on what sort of night I have tonight.

Life has been pretty "normal" if there is such a thing, around here now for the past few weeks. It is kind of nice. I enjoy being at home, enjoying spending time with Steve and Chloe, enjoying doing a few odd jobs around the place and enjoying have a little play with paper.

I am part of a "Secret Sisters" program we have at church - we are given a sister, to care for, encourage, and pray for, for a 12 month period. During that time, we find ways to encourage our secret sister by giving little gifts, writing letters etc to let this person know that someone is caring for them and upholding them in prayer, At the end of the 12 month period, we have a Reveal Dinner, where all is revealed.

This week, I wanted to give my secret sister, a verse for each day of the week on which she could meditate. This is what I came up with.
I kind of liked it so much that I ended up making another 4 that I can put away to use as little gifts.

There is a verse for each day of the week.

Other bits and pieces:...
We have a garden full of these at the moment
so we have been making lots and lots of this....
There is definately nothing nicer than home made pumpkin soup.
I have also been spoilt with these this week....
Love how my husband goes wandering around the garden, and then brings these in for me, These are by far my most favourite flowers, Mr. Lincoln red, and the scent is divine.
These are a few other things I have discovered lately and have been enjoying too.
We discovered this Fig Paste when we were on our holiday in Tassie last year and absolutely loved it. When one of the girls I work with was heading down there for a big holiday, I asked her if she were able to bring some back for us, which she did, so we are now enjoying it all over again. I came accross this devine tea too..... very calming, and I have been enjoying using my lovely tea set, for a late evening cuppa...

Chloe has been busy..... nights out with girlfriends.
and weekends away camping with friends.....
She managed to take a couple of really cool photos whilst they were away that I just love so wanted to share.

other news Pete is not only enjoying his writing, but he has been dabbling in a bit of this of late as well.
I'm thinking I have one very talented son. I can definately see a likeness.
Well not much else to report. I think it is time I headed to bed.
