A Little Creativity Happening this week.
I don't know why but I have had a couple of tough days this week. My mum has been on my mind a lot.... I am still finding it hard to come to grip with the fact that she is no longer with us. I miss her this week.... I miss her smile and her wonderful sense of humor, I miss the fact that she is no longer home with my Dad. I am feeling for my Dad. He is the one that is really dealing with the loneliness and the empty home. I just feel a little sad this week... Maybe it has something to do with Mother's Day coming up too. I don't know. All I know is that I am really missing her at the moment.
Today, I received these from a lovely friend who no longer lives here, She has been thinking of me and I feel blessed to have a friend like Jenni in my life. There are beautiful and are gracing our dining room table at the moment, and I so appreciate her thoughtfulness
I have found it hard to get motivated to scrapbook at the moment. I haven't done much with paper at all since November last year so when we had our scrapbooking afternoon last Saturday, I just didn't even feel like going. In the end I took decided to just make a few more cards ( not that I really needed to as I still have a box here I haven't used) It took me seven hours to make three cards ( too much chatting I think)
These are the cards I made last Saturday.
I enjoyed playing with paper and ended up coming home and playing some more. I actually love making the smaller cards, and had fun creating these
I loved doing this little baby cards. I actually found a packet of these little baby rattles in a Discount Store. I think you got about 25 in a bag for $2. Loved making these and am thinking of making a few more.
These were really quick and simple to make
Also found a couple of cards I made at the end of last year and am not sure that I shared them. I went to my first Stampin Up Party and we made these. I am keen to have one of these parties myself.
My last creative piece of work this week was the Anzac Display I did at work for our Library, it is nothing flash and was put together in a bit of a hurry. It is one of the things I want to do a bit more of this year. There are just never enough hours in the day to do things like this. I am going to try and enlist the help of the kids more this year.
Steve has been busy this week.... Whilst his boat motor is getting fixed, he decided to do some major maintenance on his boat trailer. ( A little easer to get the boat off when there is no motor attached). It has had a major overhaul, new springs, new bolts, sanded down and repainted. It is now all ready to go once we get a boat motor back. It had better be soon, as we have a family fishing trip set aside for this weekend.
The other exciting news this week, is that we only two more sleeps to go until Sarah arrives home for 10 days. We are all so excited. Hence getting the boat ready for a fishing trip, and we get to celebrate birthdays together this year. Might have to make sure that I take the camera... It has been quite a while since we have managed to get away for a weekend like this all together. Just wish Pete was home to enjoy it with us. It is times like this that we really miss him.
