A CRAZY WEEKEND

Last weekend was a crazy weekend.  In fact it was a crazy week.  The night that Sarah came home from hospital, her husband Colin came down with the Gastro bug, and about 1.30am in the morning I had to take him to hospital.  He spent 12 hours in there where he was put on a drip.

Well the week didn't end any better.  Steve was given a couple of days off work so that he could come down and meet his beautiful grand daughter.  He arrived on the Friday and that night we both babysat Willow whilst Sarah and Colin went out to dinner with friends.

At about 2am in the morning. I got up to visit the toilet and noticed that my heart was racing.  It didn't take long for it to settle down but when it did, the rhythm of my heart was all over the place, so Steve and Sarah decided that I needed to go to hospital and have it checked out.

Drip in the hand

11 hours flat on my back in hospital

Still waiting for results to come back.
Now the hospitals down here are not like the hospitals at home where they are only a minutes drive away.  Here it was a good half hour to the hospital.  Of course by the time I got there my heart had settled right down.  That did not stop the from investigating and I spent the next 11 hours in hospital whilst they poked and proded me and took numerous blood tests etc.

Bruised hand
They sure made a mess of my hand when they tried to take blood.  The bruise is almost all faded wh week.but you can still see it.  It was purple and blue earlier in the week.

Anyway the results came back all good which was a relief, but they have suggested I have some further tests done when I get home.  I am happy to do it.  I had this happen once before.  5 years ago when we were staying with friends at Hervey Bay.
