I scored the best birthday present ever this year. My daughter was a little upset that she hadn't had time to go out and get me a birthday present as she had been stuck in hospital. Little did she realize that she had given me the best birthday present ever. My gorgeous little grand daughter.
This was one of my best birthdays ever. The only cloud on an otherwise perfect horizon was that Chloe wasn't able to join us.
The day started with us going to church as a family, and then the kids taking both Steve and I out to lunch at Bulimba. Wonderful choice. We spent the afternoon in the park as Sarah needed to feed Willow.
Pete's idea of relaxing was to find a good tree to climb and relax in.

Reminded him of places abroad. |
We found a nice shady Fig tree to sit under. It was nice watching Sarah use the Hooter Hiders that I had made her before the birth of Willow Grace.

Motherhood suits you my love, I am so proud of the awesome job you are doing.
The day ended with us going out for dinner with some really good friends of ours. Ther were four couples that went. Nope of them knew each other and yet we had a wonderful evening together. The conversation flowed, we all had similar interests and there was lots of laughter. Each of them commented on what a wonderful evening it was.
I loved the night.... I miss that most of our closest friends no longer live in our home town. I miss these sort of outings back home.... I am slowing working on STeve in regards to perhaps moving down this way closer to family and friends in the not too distant future.
