THEY FOUND A HOME AMONGST A CONCRETE JUNGLE.

Yesterday we experienced a moment of pure joy as we stood under one of our shopping centres and watched a mother bird feed her three young ones.  You wouldn't expect her to cart in the twigs and branches and straw and hay and anything else she had to make her nest, but she made it amongst the plumbing and airconditioning pipes that run along the ceiling of the car park under the shopping centre.

A next amongst the pipes
We saw them as we parked the car.  I'm not sure many of the other shoppers are even aware that they are there, as they busily hurry on the way to their cars to load their shopping in and take off to continue on with their busy lives.

she has three babies

Totally at home
We stood for a while and just watched, in awe as she her babies opened their beaks and she dropped food into them.  It was nice to share these moments together.

It's moments like this that I am thankful that I carry a camera in my handbag all the time.    They have obviously been there for a little while because the babies are almost as big as their mum.

It made our day.....
