MEETING MORE NEW FOLK...

It has been a couple of days of visitors.  Last night I got to babysit the beautiful Miss Willow whilst her Mummy and Daddy had another night out together.  With less than a week here now,  I am happy for the kids to grab some time out together whilst they have the chance and of course,  they really have to bend my arm to get me to babysit.  I am still not sure how I am ever going to be able to go home and leave this precious little princess and miss seeing her for weeks on end.

Last night whilst the kids went out, our good friends Ian and Kathy came to have dinner with me.  It was lovely.  Wonderful company and they delighted in helping me babysit.

She certainly has the touch to put Willow to sleep.
TheseThe smile says it all.
These guys have been very dear and cherished friends of ours.  We all met when we first moved to Rockhampton, and have been very close friends ever since.  Our friendship has stood the test of time and we have been very dear and close friends now for over 30 years.   We are so blessed to have them in our lives.

Today we were visited by another one of my closest friends Barb and her daughter Jess.  Jess and Sarah grew up together, and would see each other almost daily.  In fact when Chloe was born,  Jess had to be in our family photo because as far as she was concerned she was part of our family.   They arrived mid morning, and Jess, Barb and I went out for a late brunch before then bought me home.  Sarah and Colin had a prior engagement, so we thought they would miss meeting Willow, but Sarah and Colin arrived home early, so they were able to meet my gorgeous grand daughter and also spend half an hour or so with her.  Mind you it was a great photo opportunity and I am glad that I was able to capture the visit.  Barb is such a dear friend, she was actually present at the birth of our youngest daughter.

She was such a natural with Willow.  Jess is now a fully qualified doctor and is looking at going into Gynecology and Obstetrics this year, so she is a little take with babies.
The girls together.... it has been a while..

Willow also got to meet her other Poppy today too.  He is just as taken with her as the rest of us and couldn't get over how tiny she really is.  Mind you I think she has grown quite a bit in the last couple of weeks, but she is still so cute.

In terms of immediate family,  Willow only has two Aunties she is yet to meet.  She will get to meet her Aunty Chloe next Thursday as she flies down as I fly home.  Also next weekend her Aunty Amanda moves back to Brisbane so no doubt she will also get to meet her as well.

It has been a good evening.  Tonight Uncle Pete L came for dinner.  I love the way he is happy to nurse and care for Willow.  It is beautiful to see.  Thought that to celebrate I would cook us a nice dinner and also make a nice Banana and Pineapple Cake.  It looked great and tasted even better.  We had no cream cheese so I wasn't able to ice it, but a little bit of icing sugar and a few strawberries certainly make it look appealing.   It must have been good as Pete had about three slices of it during the course of the evening.

Tonight I have a list a mile long of things I am so thankful for.

2.  Her lovely smile and that she is already smiling at us.
3.  Sarah's lovely friends, who have looked after us with meals and lifts to the hospital.
4. Lovely night out with dear friends for my birthday last weekend.  Love how that even when we haven't seen each other for a while we can  pick up the conversation as if it were only yesterday we were together.
5.The wonderful blessings that friends have bestowed on Sarah and Colin with the birth of Willow.
6. Medical facilities in our country.
7. Adventures and excursions together.
8. Fun and fellowship
9. Love and Laughter
10. God's provision...
