Poor poor Penny. She was so excited this morning when she saw Colin and Sarah get her lead, and she bounded out to the car all happy to go with them. Little did she know what was in store for her.
She was happy enough to go to the Vet, she behaved herself whilst he examined her and was even happy to head out to the back room with him until she turned around and saw that Sarah and Colin where heading in the opposite direction.
She had her operation today... and when we picked her up she looked so mournful and sad, that it almost break my heart. She came out with this big cone collar around her neck and Sarah was informed that she has to wear it for 10 days so that she doesn't pull her stitches out.
She HATES IT. Sarah dropped Penny, Willow and I home before heading back out to pick up Colin. She wouldn't move, she whimpered the whole time Sarah was gone. It was so sad that she bought tears to my eyes.

It took me ages to get her to come away from the door and sit where I could watch her... She just whimpered and whimpered and it really was so very sad....

The only thing that got her up and moving was when she heard Colin and Sarah arrive home.

Tonight she is getting a lot of extra love and attention by Colin and she is lapping every bit of it up.....
We are wondering though how she will go with sleeping with this hideous plastic cone shaped collar on. She is not really eating or drinking yet and we are wondering how she will go with it. The vet informs us that it is possible, although it looks awfully difficult to us....
We could be in for a long night tonight and it won't be the baby....
