HE HAS JUST TURNED 30

I cannot beleive that my eldest child has turned 30.  Talk about making me feel old.  It didn't seem to bad to say you had children in their 20s but to have children in their 30's seems that much older...

Happy 30th Birthday to our Wonderful Son.
We love you so much and are so proud of the man you have become....
It was really great to be able to celebrate the night with you.   Looking forward to your party on Friday night....

Sarah and I spent a few days up on the Sunshine Coast visiting my Dad, so it was a bit of a rush to get home and prepare a nice home cooked meal for Pete for his birthday...

We didn't get home till 5.30pm, and it was a mad rush to get a nice roast leg of lamb on for dinner and then at the last minute I decided to make a Banana Cake for Pete as a birthday cake.   Sarah didn't have any cream cheese, so a sprinke of icing sugar and some strawberries just had to suffice.
Just a few photos to share of your day

The Birthday Cake

Side on of the Birthday Cake
It is amazing how you can improvise when you have too.  I didn't have enough oil for it but it did taste pretty good

Pete had Penny for a visit for four days also.  This was Colin's present to Pete for his birthday.  There is no way Penny was missing out on any of the action and excitement.  She had to be up on their laps for the cutting of the birthday cake...
Penny wasn't missing out...
Birthday kiss for the birthday boy
She even had a big birthday kiss for the birthday boy.

No Birthday Candles this year
Unfortunately we didn't have any candles at home so there were no candles to blow out.  30 would have been too many anyway....
Come on Pete - cut eh cake
I want a piece too you know...

Time to cut the Birthday cake...

Cutting his Birthday Cake
Even managed to get some photos with the Birthday Boy... So had to believe that 30 years ago I had a brand new baby,,, it all seems so surreal at the moment whilst I am here with Sarah and seeing her mother our beautiful grand daughter.  The years just seem to fly.... it seems only yesterday that Pete was Willow's age and now he is 30.

Mother/Son photo.  Love this shot.
Lots more happening so I will have to up date again real soon.  The weather hasn't been the best, but the company has been fantastic...
