WEEKEND IN BUNDY...

I am so slack at keeping my blog this year.....
Life just seems to have been busy...
Maybe I have been on the go more...

Last weekend we went to Bundy...
Steve's parents haven't been well and we haven't seen them for a couple of months...
Also there was work there to do...
A roof to finish and re screw down...
Trees to trim...
it required us to spend the weekend there.

The main job that Steve wanted to help his dad with was putting the flashing on the roof.  They reroofed the house 12 months ago, but never quite got around to finishing it,  so once that was done, then it was time to replace screws in the roof.  Steve spent all of Saturday up on the roof and a good part of Sunday morning.

Using his new drill on the roof....
Not the most comfortable position to work in.
Some hard duty work for this little baby....
Yah the last screw has been screwed in.
Time to come down off the roof.
Getting onto the Ladder
Heading down the ladder
Once Steve had finished screwing down the roof, his Dad found a few other jobs he wanted Steve to help him with.   Physically he is in a lot of pain, so some of these jobs are very hard to do on his own.
It was time to trim a few trees....
Branches are coming down...
And then there was all the fruit that needed picking...
Buckets of oranges.
Whilst poor Steve worked,  I took Steve's mum out for a coffee ( well hot chocolate actually) and some girl therapy.  We had a good shop at the new shopping Centre.  The KMart centre was badly flooded earlier in the year and was closed for four months whilst it was rebuilt.  Mum hadn't been back since it had opened...
It was nice to take her back... We both bought a couple of bargains.  I got a new watch and a coat, Mum got a lovely bracelet...
We had fun together.  I must remember to do this with her more often when we come down.

Mum loves to grow orchids, and has some beautiful ones out at the moment.  Of course I had to take some photos of a few of them.  Aren't they just gorgeous....
Palest Apricot  Orchid.
What a wonderful world we live in.
Orchids for my lovely friend Jannett.
My good friend Jannett lost her Mum a couple of weeks ago... Her mum's favourite colour is mauve, so I wanted to get her something that would remind her of her Mum, and this is when I thought of this, a lovely tribute for a wonderful woman who cared and loved for all she met...
Flowers for June...
It's been a very busy week, and so I am a bit behind the eight ball when it comes to blogging.
This weekend, we have had a night on the Gold Coast....
Will post those photos in the next day or so....
