HE TOOK A WEEKS LONG SERVICE LEAVE

Steve has had a crazy year....
Very stressful for him as he has had a huge work load this year.
He pretty much worked through his June/July School holidays, just catching up and getting on top of everything...
We decided that he needed a break so he took a week's long service leave..
He still had to attend the QSA Conference in Brisbane, but he did manage to combine this with some time with his grand daughter....

Early morning cuddles with this gorgeous girl

Love these early morning cuddles.

Joining her Poppy for early morning cuddles.

Willow with her Poppy

Such a lovely time of the morning with Willow.
After spending a couple of days with this gorgeous girl, Steve flew home and then took off fishing with a couple of mates for 5 days....
A much needed break..
Fresh air, and sunshine....
The fishing wasn't too good, but the peace and open spaces was what he needed.
The crabs weren't too bad, but unfortunately for the first time ever, Steve had a couple of his pots stolen....
A little sad that this happened...
Unfortunately men don't take photos like woman do, so I haven't got a lot of photos of their trip away, but I have a few to post so that we are reminded of these few great days away.
Nightly cuppa back by the campfire.
using his night light.
Around the camp fire -  also their marvelous roast cooking
Camp style cooking...
Enjoying their roast lamb dinner
Charlie enjoying the lickings of the bone.

Wasn't too many fish to be filleted each night... I must make note though, that even though they didn't catch many fish,  Steve did catch the largest whiting he has ever caught.  it was over 40 cms....  This is worth noting.
Time to fillet the fish
A bit of an idea on fish size....
He did enjoy his few days away.
We are now planning on our holiday for the September holidays, when we plan to head up the coast in Qld....
