A TRIP TO BRISSIE AS A CARER

Steve spent almost a week in Brissie with his Mum when she had to go down and have some tests done... It is something he enjoys doing, with his Mum.  It couldn't have come at a worse time though as it was in the middle of exam week....
The news was not all good though, and that was a little disappointing..
Now there are some big decisions to be made....
Still they enjoyed their time away together...
They got to catch up with Pete who lent them his car whilst they were there...
They managed to fit  in a little shopping with plenty of rest stops...
They saw the lights of the city at night
They had coffee dates
and then they flew back to Bundy together before Steve drove home to Rocky.
Unfortunately it meant he would miss the wedding...
Some photos of their time away...

Their motel room for the week
 Getting unpacked
Steve and Mum in their Hotel room...
Unfortunately this husband of mine who knows I like to record the days of our lives, didn't take any photos of their trips around Brissie or the lovely flowers Mum received from Pete.  I guess I can forgive him..
They did get to the airport though with time to have a coffee together before their flight was called...
Coffee break at the airport.
Waiting to be called for their flight.
This flight home was quite hazy...so the views weren't that good...
It is also in vast contract to the views they had last time they flew which was early in the year just after a wet season.  Everything was quite dead and brown this trip home...

The views weren't that impressive this time... Everything is brown and barren... Even most of the cane is cut now, so there is lots of dirt rather than crops to see.
Views from the plane coming into Bundy
Lots of brown and not much green.
Most of the cane is cut
It was a quick trip home to a pile of work that needed to be done... A week later, he still hasn't been able to come up for air... Counting the weeks down until we finally get a break....
