A VISIT WITH THE VANDERDUYS

Love these guys...
We have adopted them as family, and think of their kids as our grandkids.....
This time home from PNG on furlough they have stayed in Brissie....
We have greatly missed our weekly catch ups with them whilst they have been home....
We spent a good part of the day with them the day that Pete left the country....
It was a great way to cheer up our hearts as we love these guys and will miss them greatly too as they leave again in two weeks time...
Just have to get through the next two years and then hopefully they will be home for a couple of years....
They are so easy to be around, so much fun, and the kids still love to interact with us....
We love that....

Took him a little bit to get his balance and he was happy to have a few shoulders to rest on....

With a little help it wasn't long before he has mastered it...

 Steve was straight up and going today....
Even to the point that he was running...
And out running the boys on their unicycle...

So much more confidence this time round....

A great Christmas present...

 It was really disappointing that Joel was too light to use them.  I am positive that he would have been a natural also....  We love spending time with our adopted grandkids....
They are such outdoor kids...
Their general knowledge is amazing, and they love spending time with us...
Lauren got all dressed up for us in her new dress that she had for her graduation..

 It was so refreshing to spend time with these guys....
Just love being around them, and so wish we had more time with them...
We decided to go have dinner at the beach....

The kids were always wanting to poke faces ...
or clown around....
In the end I had to promise them that if they agreed to let me take one decent photo,  I would take as many as they liked of them clowning around....

We really do love these guys and love spending time with them...
It is never long enough...
Something I need to get used to, as we might have the same deal with our Pete...
We only get to see Craig, Sharon and the children every three years.... when they come home for six months...
Hopefully they will be back in 2016 and it will be for at least two years next time...
