MISSING MY MUM MORE THAN USUAL TODAY...

It has been a hard day today...
It's Mum's birthday and she would have reached the 80 milestone if she was still here....
It is really days like this that we have missed her more than normal...
It would have been a very special day today...
We would have had a big family party for her which I am sure would have bought most of her family home....
We still celebrated...
It was just my Dad and youngest sister...
We went out to Sizzlers for lunch in memory of Mum...
We were always usually on the coast for her birthday, and would always go out for lunch all together with whoever family members were home....

Dad has flowers on the table for you Mum
Your favourite roses...
He has there often in memory of you...
He has a beautiful red rose flowering just outside your bedroom window...
It is stinking hot here at the moment and that rose should have died and wilted by now, it has been out for almost a fortnight... It is beautiful for your birthday... I know that this has been a very special miracle just for you....

We love you Mum,
The world is not the same without you...
We miss you dreadfully,
We reminished today about just how blessed we have been to have had such an amazing wife and mother in our life...
You have been the most wonderful example of a loving wife, and mother, a compassion and generous and gentle woman who had an amazing sense of humor, but you had a real heart for your God too, a wonderful Christian example to all who met you, including your family....
I find myself using your "Oh Dear" phrase a lot these days...
I watched Willow devour her mangoes whilst we were at Sarah and Colin's and it so reminded me of you eating mangoes over the kitchen sink...
You loved them, and so does Willow..
We see you daily around us... never more than when we are at home on the coast... You are still everywhere in our home... Your photo graces our walls, and we know we have been so blessed to have you in our lives....

We  know you are rejoicing in Heaven,
but we miss you on this earth.
Forever and ever in our hearts...
