A VISIT TO THE GOMA WITH WILLOW

One of the things that both Steve and I enjoy doing when is Brisbane is visiting the GOMA.

A visit to the GOMA in Brisbane..
I noticed that this year in the children's section they had an Obviation Room, and thought that Willow might enjoy this..

Whilst both Sarah and Chloe were still on Holidays we decided to take Willow in for her first visit to the GOMA.  We had a wonderful time and spent most of our time in the Obliteration Room

We drove into Southbank and found a park and then caught a bus to the GOMA...  We only had to go one stop but it was easier to do it this way rather than try and get a park.
Willow loved the bus ride...
Visiting the GOMA
On our way we came across this frill neck lizard.  I was terribly surprised as it was around where there were heaps of people and he didn't seem afraid of people.
Spotted a huge lizard on thje way to the GOMA
Our first port of call was the Obliteration Room
We were all handed a sheet of coloured dot  stickers as we entered.  Most of us kept our stickers for Willow.  She had a total ball pulling them off the sheet and putting them everywhere...
Pulling off her stickers to stick in the Obliteration Room
Lots of fun for us just watching her...
it was great that both Sarah and Chloe were able to come with us also...
The girls taking a break on the couch....
Was even putting stickers on herself...
And everyone else as well.
Just love these photos of her with her dots on....
all dotted up...
even had fun putting lots of dots on Moppy.

Everything in the room is painted white, including the floors, walls, ceilings and all furniture and accessories in the room... This exhibition is open for four months so it would be really interesting to go back  in the last couple of weeks and see how it looks then.
dots dots everywhere...
Having just as much putting dots on everyone as she does by putting it in the room.
Steve and Chloe
dots on Poppy too.
Poppy you look amazing...
Dining room is all dotted up...
Looking down into the Obliteration Room
I really love these photos of Willow....
So darn cute....
Such a wonderful day together...
Wearing the dotted cowboy hat....
decorating Moppy and Poppy
She had more and more fun as we handed over all our stickers...

After visiting the Obliteration Room, we headed to the Candy room, where these fantasy sculptures were made out of sugar.... Willow LOVED them, possibly because they involved fairies and princesses.  The sugar sparkled under the lights and really did make it look like a wonderland...
Enjoying our visit.
Willow just loved the candy displays.  She was fascinated by them.
We spent a good couple of hours there, and really could have spent a lot longer there but our parking was due to run out and also we needed to get Willow home for a sleep.  it won't be long before we will be able to do things with her that allows us to be out all day.  She is such a little sponge and soaks up all these new experiences.  Her attention span amazes me,  it is a lot greater than a lot of the kids I work with who are two and three years older than her....
It was a wonderful day out, and I am looking forward to doing more with her in the future...
Time to head home....
