BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS....

What a birthday...
First day back to school with students....
We got home from work and Steve said to me that it really didn't feel like his birthday...
It got better from lunch time on when our other daughter Daina rang to wish him a happy birthday..
A couple of kids at school bought him up a birthday cake...

After school, we went out together for this...

 Doing this is something we enjoy doing together....

 We had a lovely time just chatting and we left to head home just before 6pm.
The kids wanted to take us out for dinner, and knowing how much Steve loved ribs, they wanted to head here...

 Chloe's boyfriend Dan also loves his ribs so it was a good choice for dinner....

 The meals were enormous...
Not cheap but they did let you take your left overs home in a doggy bag...
I decided to go for the Chicken as I really didn't think I would be able to eat all the ribs...

 There were three racks of lamb ribs on the plate along with 4-5 roast potatoes...
Dan had the beef ribs and didn't have much trouble cleaning them all up.

Both Chloe and Danielle decided to share a meal rather than try and have one of these meals each...

They totally surprised Steve,  just when we thought it was time to go home... We heard staff start singing "Happy Birthday to You".  Steve started looking around and they were heading straight towards him with this.

 He was a little embarrassed to start with but I think he actually felt quite special in the end...

Feeling so blessed to hve these great kids in our life...
A huge thanks to Dan, Chloe and Danielle for a wonderful night out for for making Steve feel so special..  Thanks guys, we love you to bits....
