A DAY AT DREAMWORLD

One of the joys of being a grandma is being able to take your grandchild to Dreamworld for the day.
My friend Kathy took her grandson Caleb, and I took Willow....
We had a great day with the children.   We both took them back in November,  this time they were a lot more chatty with each other and were really good little mates...
They were both so very well behaved..

Our first stop was to get to the Wiggles concert.....
Both of the children loved this...

Dorothy the Dinosaur
The Wiggles Concert
Wags the Dog
Fairy Clare
Captain Feathersword
Willow up dancing to the Wiggles....
They love this show...
After the concert we went to see the Tiger Show... the kids really love the animals and this is a favourite.  Last time we went we were squeezed up with everyone at the rail and didn't really have a good view.  This time we got there a little early and went upstairs to where there was a viewing platform with some table and chairs.  We grabbed a table and fed the children their lunch whilst we waited...

From the tigers we went and had a few rides on the Merry go round....  Caleb absolutely loved going on the horses and he had a favourite... A green and blue one because it was really FAST.... Willow was a little nervous about riding them, and wanted to make sure that I was close at hand or at least if I wasn't Kathy was....
Riding the horses
This was all set up in the Shrek playground....
He keeps guard over this part of the park...
The kids loved these characters and were happy to climb all over them.
From here we just had time to get to the Madagascar Concert.  We had pretty good seats for this second from the front.  Willow totally surprised me by wanting to go up on stage and participate in some dancing... This is so not like her... Katy was seating closer to the end of the row so she went to take her up and then Caleb decided that he wanted to go up as well....
Dancing with the cast from Madagascar....
From Madagascar, we decided to take the children to the toilet and then grab something else to eat and drink....
Our next stop then was to visit the animals.  We were fortunate in that as we took off to walk the distance to see them, we noticed the train was in the station, so we ended up catching it instead.... This saved us a bit of time...

Both Willow and Caleb love the animals...
The koala bears were so active when we were there
One of Willow's favourite animals...  She loves them
Such a relaxed little cutie....
We then got to meet this beautiful owl....
Up close and personal with this owl....
Willow with Charlie....
We even got to meet a baby crocodile, but I am not sure where that photo got too...

From the animals it was back on the train to Wiggle land where we sent a bit of time going on some rides...

Her very favourite ride....
She would be happy to constantly go on this ride...
Riding the Big Red Boat with Kathy and Caleb..
Love the way she has her arm up to Kathy's neck trying to cuddle her....
It was a great day....
We left just after 4.30pm to head home....
We had been up since 4.30 am without any sleep at all today...
Willow crashed early...
I wasn't far behind her before I went to bed...
All in all I would have to say this was a 10+ day....
I love being a grandma....
I feel so blessed to have this little cherub in my life...
