A DAY OUT ON THE WATER

They all had a day out on the water....
Even Willow went to help them bring in the crab pots.
Sarah managed to go fishing with Steve every day we were away this time..
Unfortunately the fish weren't really biting this year...
We managed to get a couple of feeds, but certainly didn't bring the fish home like other years...
We did however manage to catch quite a few mud crabs...

Willow joined them out in the boat... although she was a little nervous about it all
She really didn't want the crabs to get her toes so she insisted on wearing both her shoes and her socks...
Nervously waving to us and she clings to her Mummy
Steve loved this day, he had both the girls and Willow out in the boat with him...
it was a day we missed Pete and Maria....would have made it perfect if they were with us.
Maria if you are reading this,  you still rate No one fisherwoman, as the girls were not keen to bait up the crab pots like you did....
Chloe pushes them out and heads to the front of the boat...
Turning the boat to head out to fetch the pots...
They're off...
Across to the other side..
They were lucky to haul in four mud crabs that day... It seemed that four was the magic number as they seemed to get four each day...
The following day, Steve took our Dan and Chloe for a fish, and they never got a single fish.  A bit disappointing but they did get their four crabs...
They were only able to spend Easter with us so had to head back to Rocky on Easter Monday as Chloe had to go back to work the following day...
Meanwhile the weather wasn't the best on the Tuesday, and Steve and Sarah went out for a few hours in the morning before it got too wet...
This was a better day, and I had one very happy husband as he hooked this fellow.....
Blubber Mouth Brim was our catch of the week.... One very happy Husband...
Most of Tuesday we had rain, and really quite heavy at that.  I was so thankful we had bought a tarp to put over the caravan roof.  Willow and Sarah had a river of water running through the annex where they were camping...

Sarah went out each day with her Dad fishing whilst I held the fort at home and looked after our little cherub.
Sarah's catch of the day... not terribly impressed.
There is still something very peaceful though about sitting out on the water fishing...
Father Daughter bonding in the best possible way.
We loved this week away with the girls... Looking forward to doing it again when Colin, and Pete and Maria can join us...
