ANOTHER VISIT TO DREAMWORLD

Last year, I bought tickets to take Willow to Dreamworld for her birthday....
it turned out that it would only cost me an extra $5 to buy a seasonal ticket which would last me for 14 months.  Well it seemed to me that it was well and truly worth forking out the extra $5 for the annual ticket.

it means now though that whenever  I head to Brisbane to visit Sarah and her family,  that Willow is very keen for a Willow/Moppy day and her favourite place to visit is Dreamworld.

Off to visit this magical place
Dreamworld here we come..
My friend Kathy and her beautiful grand daughter joined us.  It was Mahalia's  5th Birthday so it seemed like a great way to spend a lovely Tuesday...

Our first stop was at Wiggle's Land for the Wiggle's concert...
The new Wiggle's land at Dreamworld
In with all the popsicles
The girls loved these big colourful Popsicles that are scattered throughout the Wiggle's land.  this whole area has been totally revamped since the last time we have been there, and Willow just loved this area... I think she would have been happy to have spent the whole of our visit to Dreamworld in this one little area...
It is all very colourful now...
All her favourite characters in one big area...
Willow is usually very shy around the dressed up characters... She loves seeing them but from a distance.  It really surprised me this time when she was actually keen to go up and shake Dorothy's hand and even let me take a photo of her with Dorothy....
Meeting Dorothy up close and personal...
Mind you whilst Willow was keen to meet Dorothy and have her photo taken with her,  there was no way she wanted to sit next to Henry and her her photo taken with him.  He has too many legs...

She loved the concert though and was up dancing and sing along with the characters...
Enjoying the Wiggles Concert
Captain Feathersword and Teddy.
Dancing with Mahalia

Enjoying the moment...
Moppy enjoying the concert with Willow
Having fun together....
Hot Potato, hot Potato
Singing and dancing along to the Wiggles...

Love seeing her have so much fun.... She pretty much danced the whole concert....
Dorothy the Dinosaur

It was pretty busy in Wiggle's land and if we attempted the rides here, we would have had to queue up for quite a while.... so we decided to head over to the Merry go rounds.  Willow was a bit apprehensive about riding the horse on her own and wanted me to stand right next to her....
Initially she just wanted to get in this little coach until we convinced her otherwise...
Then we managed to get her on a horse,  but you hold me Moppy...
Not usre who was having more fun..
She got a little braver and although she wanted me close by......
She got to a point where she told me that she was alright and that I didn't have to hold on anymore for her... She could do it herself....
Willow riding her horse by herself...
Mahalia was keen to ride a pink horse each time...
After they had had several rides on then merry go round, we allowed the girls to wander off a little and explain Shrek and his family.
A climb onto the Shrek Family
After these photos it was back on the horses again...
I can see we are going to have heaps of problems trying to get her away from this area...
Riding the horses herself this time all by herself.
Good times together...
Just a beautiful time together...
More fun at Dreamworld...
Kathy and Mahalia having their fair share of fun also.
Love doing Dreamworld with this pair
From here we headed off to see the Tiger Show...
The girls weren't overly interested although they were hungry, so it was nice to find a seat and sit down for a while...
So little in comparison to the size of these large animals.
We managed to sit down and have a break for a good half hour before heading back to the Wiggles Land for some rides of one of Willow's favourite rides.  the teapot and teacup ride.  She went on this several times.
One of her favourite rides

Her favourite place to visit whenever we go to Dreamworld

Then it was time to have a ride on the big red boat and then the big read car.  She really loved these rides this time.  The last couple of times she was a little apprehensive about the rides,  this time we went she constantly wanted to hop straight back on them.
Riding the Big Red Boat
Can we hope of on again...
She loved exploring this trip.  Our previous trips she has always been a little conservative around others and the different rides.
Checking out the big lips...
By now the girls were getting a little hungry so we stopped for a food break and Kathy got the girls a frozen drink to share.  They were so cute as they sat together and took turns and drinking through the straw and then spooning out the ice...
Sharing a drink
and spooning out the ice....
After a toilet stop  we let the girls have a little play in the paint area.  Willow loved this area and spent ages climbing all over the tubes of paint, and then she spent quite a bit of time singing and dancing.  She was in no hurry to leave this area...
Lovely area for the children to play in...
Willow particularly loved this area.
The girls spent quite a bit of time climbing all over the tubes of paint...
They would slide down the paint tube...
Having a ball...
this area was almost like a stage to Willow as she burst into song and dancing...
Singing "Everybody is cooking in the Kitchen"
She loves to dance...
Enjoying this area....
This area has really been done up, with the boat now getting a modern make over with sails and all.  So much more inviting for the children to play in.
Fun Mazes
She also managed to meet the Bananas in PJs
The new ship
A children's wonderland..
The most perfect weather and day...
We decided to head off to visit the animals.  Both the girls love going here,  Willow loves the big crocodiles and the Koala Bears, but this time we visited so many more animals.
The train just happened to be ready to leave as we headed off to see the animals so we thought that we might catch it...

The girls looked so cute though heading to the railway station....
The spent most of the day walking around the park like this...
So darn cute....
Walking around Dreamworld together...
The girls enjoyed the train ride....
It took us right to the animals and saved us a bit of walking time...
Visiting the Kangaroos
The girls loved to see these animals and hand feed them...
feeding the Kangaroos
This Koala had a little baby koala that she was cuddling and feeding.  It was so cute...
Enjoying watching the Koalas
Looking for the baby....
So love this little munchkin... so loved spending the day with her here too.
It was off to see the Crocodiles next...
These are some of her favourite animals to visit...
They were pretty big fellows with lots of sharp teeth...
Looking at the Tasmanian  Devil...
The Tasmanian Devil was quite active and we got a good look at it running around it's enclosure.  Other times we have been here,  He has been in his log or hiding, so it was nice to see him so active this time...
Checking out the big green tree frog...
Happy little girls...
 It was a huge day....
We got there at about 10.15am and it was five pm before we left.  Such a big day for the girls, but they were so good.  I love the fact that they enjoy the simple things... You don't have to rush round trying to fit in everything in the one day,  they live in the moment and enjoy every part of the day...

Looking forward to the next visit we get to make to Dreamworld...
