A LOVELY WEDDING....

We have been invited to a few weddings lately...
Last weekend, we went to Luke and Hannah's wedding.  Luke is the son of good friends of ours... Luke's dad Darryl was one of Steve's fishing buddies.  Unfortunately Darryl lost his battle with cancer three years ago.  He would have been so proud of Luke and I am sure he would have loved Hannah.  They are such a well suited couple.
Their wedding was lovely,  very personal, out by the Lagoons... Just gorgeous...
Big picture share of their special day...
The Bridal Party as they arrived
The gorgeous flower girls...
These little girls were so cute as they sprinkled rose petals along an imaginary path that Hannah and her dad were going to walk along.  They were funny heading straight for the bush rather than to their Uncle Luke...
Next came the Bridesmaids...
Followed by Hannah and her dad
Here comes the Bride...
They were married under the shade of this beautiful big old tree right on the banks of the Lagoon.  The view was really quite spectacular... and so peaceful.  Apparently Luke proposed to Hannah around this area so they felt it was really fitting to hold their wedding there.

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Schreiweis
Their official family photos were taken with the lagoon in the background.
I must admit the cars looked pretty impressive parked in front of the water also...

Chloe has always been really good friends of both Luke and his sister Amy. so there were photo opportunities for her to have her photo taken with these gorgeous guys...

The colours of the bridal bouquets were beautiful.  They looked so rich, it was only when you got up close to them that you realized that they were actually made out of very fine wood shavings...

Then it was time for photos with the Schreiweis  family.  Large family grouping for photos...

I loved capturing these photos of Chloe and her Dad.  We had been away for a week, and Steve had been very sick in hospital, and this is the first that Chloe had seen her dad since our return to town... She was pretty much his shadow at the wedding..
Love these photos of Chloe and her Dad
Some group shots of a few of us from church..

A little more of the surroundings...
Whilst Luke, Hannah and the Bridal party heading off to have their photos taken in these beautiful surroundings,  those invited to the wedding reception headed back to Paradise Lagoons where the wedding reception was being held...

I did manage to get some photos of the table settings.......
All the tables were labelled with the attributes of the Holy Sprit..

Time for the speeches..
Hannah's dad gave a really moving speech...
You could tell that he is very close to both his daughters,  and there were a few times whilst making his speech that he had tears in his eyes...

Hannah's Dad giving his speech..
Darryl's Dad and the best man giving their speeches..
It was at this point that I really missed the fact that Darryl was not here to share in this special day with both Luke and Hannah.  He would have been so proud of Luke....
I love the joy on these guys faces...
Danielle (Hannah's sister) giving her speech...
Danielle gave a beautiful speech at the wedding, it was so moving and she broke down a couple of times.  It was beautiful to see her dad come up and stand along side her to support her...
Next it was time for the Bridal waltz..
Luke and Hannah doing the bridal waltz...
Just really enjoying these moments together....
The it was the Groom and his mother and the Bride and her Dad....

A little more dancing as we farewelled the Bride and Groom..
Time for us to head home...
It had been a big day.  We left home at 9.30am in the morning for a 10am wedding.
It was an all day affair.  We left to come home just as the sun was setting...
Perfect end to a perfect day with a glorious sunset...
Amazing sunset to complete a perfect day...
What a way to end the day...

Well as Steve and I were heading into town, we could see that it was going to be a spectacular sunset so we headed up to the hill over looking the airport so that we could enjoy this beautiful sunset together.  I am surprised at the number of people who head up here of an afternoon to capture such beauty...

So thankful for such good friends and such beauty in my life....
