CHECKING OUT THE CARAVAN, CAMPING, 4X4 AND BOATING SHOW....

What a weekend....
The local Caravan, Camping 4x4 and Boating show was on this weekend...
We were keen to go,   the planning has started for our big trip in a couple of years time...
We were keen to check out Solar Panels, and lots of other things to do with touring...

We checked out lots of new caravans...
Most of them seem to all be the same layout...
There were lots of brands of vans that I had never even heard off...
Most vans seem to have the bed just as you walk in the front door.  I personally am not to keen on that...
I must admit that I love our van and there were only a couple that we saw that I would be happy to trade our van in for...

We saw some pretty way out vans too....
Like this one.... It was priced at over $120,000.  Not the sort of van I would want... Luxurious... 4 TV's,  I don't know how you would ever find time to watch them all.

The glamous caravan even has an outside TV
TV in the Bedroom..
The dining room tV with the Bedroom TV in the background...
The main TV is probably a 55inch TV screen, so big that I am sure you could have seen this one whilst laying in bed.... Not sure why you need so many in such a small space....
The main TV was enormous...
Took up the whole wall = amazing sound system with it also...
The dining room with the bedroom behind it...
Plenty of cupboard space and this was in the bedroom area...
We were pretty impressed with the Bushtracker vans.  Very expensive, but the quality was wonderful.  Very strong frame,  solid timber throughout and get off road van.  Still I am not sure that we can justify the cost... Lots of these vans are worth more than we initially bought our house for...

I guess after looking at lots and lots of vans,  for price, I am still impressed with the Jayco vans.  For warranty and roadside assist,  they are hard to beat...
If ever we upgrade which we will probably do when we retire,  this is the van that caught my eye...
Off road vehicle
Good size awning...
Plenty of space and slightly bigger than what we have now..

I think the thing I like most about it, is that the floor plan is very similiar to what we have now, all the things that I love about our current van but the added bonus, of a larger up off the ground fridge,  an oven, shower and toilet and and outdoor shower... and massive amounts of storeage....

Love the layout of this van and all the room...

We were pretty impressed with the the Jayco Silverline van, and it will definitely be one we look out for when we look at replacing what we have now...
Bedroom and bathroom of the Jayco Silverline..
checking out the other Silverline dining room layout..
Plenty of room... table even pops down to give extra sleeping space...
Plenty of cupboard space and  large windows...

Toilet and washing machine...
good size shower..
I could get quite excited about this van.  Still probably a little more than we would like to spend... Here is hoping that in four years time when we want to upgrade we might be able to pick up one of these second hand for a much better price...
Checking out brochures...
We headed out to the show just before lunch.  We didn't leave until 5pm when it was all closing down....  Even then we would have only saw about a third of what was out there...We did notice this year though there very only a few pop top vans, and we saw no fifth wheelers.  Also there weren't as many small stalls with all the little bits and pieces you need for camping....

Solar panels was the big thing we were interested in this year.  We are looking at getting some for our big trip...  We were pretty impressed with one lot we saw there and are now trying to see if we can source it online....

We had lunch out there...
Lunch break...
Moroccan Lamb Wrap

and a feed of chips....
Even though we came home pretty tired,  we had a really good day.  Steve also checked out a couple of boating places and checked out new boat motors.  It was fun to spend the day together.  Going somewhere like this makes us even keener to get out on the road and explore this beautiful country we live in...

Didn't manage to get a lot of work down at home this weekend... it was crazy busy, but a good weekend all the same...
