THE TRIP HOME

We had a good trip home, although we didn't get to leave as early as we would have liked...
We went to church with Dad and then had lunch with Dad and my cousin Lloyd and his wife Simone and their boys before we left the coast...

As a Father's Day treat, Steve also got to check out a marine and boating shop that was situated next door to Maccas where we had our lunch...

It was a lovely drive home.... the country side around the coast is lovely and green,  also it was a little overcast which made it a pleasant and cool drive home...

Contrast of the sky and road to the green of nature...
We do live in a beautiful country
Mountain ahead...
A heart in the paddock.
This was an interesting sight too as we saw this heart that had been mowed into this paddock.  We had to briefly stop and take a photo....

We stopped and had a break at Apple Tree Creek where we caught up with some friends that we haven't see for quite a while.  Lyn and Milton Hobbs have returned to this little area and are thoroughly enjoyed their new life and gardens.  It was really lovely to catch up with them and they were very surprised and happy to see us.

Meanwhile it meant that the trip back home was a slow one and we didn't end up getting home until 9pm... Crazy weekend but a good one...  I am so thankful that I got the time to spend these special days with my Dad to help celebrate  Father's Day and his birthday...
