OUTBACK QLD TRIP - DAY 11 - TOOWOOMBA TO BRISBANE...

I'm excited today,  we are heading into Brissie to spend a couple of night with Colin and Sarah and Willow.  It has been a couple of months since we have seen them, and we can't wait to catch up.
We were up bright and early this morning, packed and ready to drive off around 9.30am.  Took a few photos of the Caravan Park as we really enjoyed staying at this park.  Everything was neat and tidy and kept spotlessly clean.  Great shower with plenty of water pressure.  Will definitely be back to this van park.

Great Van Park to stay in - Good choice Kathy Forward...
We were in a really good spot in the park too.  Straight across the road from the Camp Kitchen and it was really lovely.  We used it our first night there when we had family all come to visit...
Camp Kitchen
They provided all the cleaning utensils and detergent so that the area was always kept spotless.
Even had picnic tables out on the lawn..
Looking at the Camp Kitchen from our van...
Just across from the Laundry and Amenities block...
The gardens at the park were lovely also..
Flowers out everywhere
These Lavender Gardens were just across from us also.  Fragrance was lovely...

Grassed area across from us outside the Camp Kitchen...
Looking down to the rest of the Caravan Park...
Time to say goodbye to this lovely park...
The good thing about this park is that it is a Top Tourist Park which means we get a decent discount wewhen we stay there...
TTime to head off towards Brissie,  I must admit, I really wasn't looking forward to towing down the range as it is really quite steep and I have never really enjoyed driving a car down it, never mind towing down it...  Still Steve wasn't concerned at all and everything went smoothly...

Good road all the way into Brisbane...
We passed through the Lockyer Valley... A very fertile valley where small crops are grown.  The soil is very fertile and I know that when I was travelling backwards and forwards for work when I was working at USQ, I could never get over the price of all the cheap fruit and vegetables..
A very fertile Valley
Lots of these on the road again today..
We by passed here today because we were keen to get into Brissie as quickly as we could.  Still many many times we have stopped here on our way too and from Toowoomba...
Maccas at Gatton
Lovely countryside
Fruit and Vegetables are always well priced in the Valley here...
We couldn't get over seeing all these pickers working under brightly covered unbrellas working in the fields.
Pickers, picking and sorting...
Another one of those big things.... The BIG Orange...
Thought this was an interesting name for a coffee shop.... Spotted this one along the highway.

A lovely drive between Toowoomba and Brisbane...

Getting closer to Brisbane...

We've hit the Brisbane motorways now

We arrived in Brisbane just after 11.30am.  Sarah wanted us to pick up a mattress for her as it wouldn't fit in her car and she was hoping we could pick it up in the van for her and bring it home.  That took a bit of careful planning especially where parking was concerned but we managed to do it and arrived at Sarah's place just after 12.10pm.

Willow had not long gone to sleep.  We were going to wait for her to wake up and then take her for a drive with us whilst we took the van around to Ian and Kathy's where we were going to leave it for the couple of days we were in Brissie.

Whilst Willow was sleeping I ended up having a nanna nap, and then when she woke at 2pm, she was so excited to see it that it almost bought me to tears.  She was keen to come for a drive with us.  I think she thought she was coming on a holiday in the Caravan with us.

We ended up have afternoon tea with Ian and Kathy and some of their house guests, got home in time to feed Willow, bath her and put her to bed.  We were babysitting for Colin and Sarah so that they could have a night out.

It was so nice to be with family.  Love these guys...

Highlights of my day...
1.  Willow time...
2.  Friends and Family
3.  One on one time whilst we travel..
