TAKING THE DANISH GIRLS CRABBING...

One of the things that Maria wanted Steve to do on her return visit to Australia was to take her sister's crabbing.  She loved it the first time she ever went out with him and they managed to get heaps of crabs.  It was one of the life experiences she also wanted her sisters to acknowledge...
It turned out being a whole day event...
They took the two boats
I think they all managed to have turns at turning the boat also...

Ready to launch the boat,

Maria driving Steve;s good boat.
Hanna getting the bait ready to bait the crabpots
Finding good locations to drop the anchor...
For lunch they just found a lovely quite and peaceful beach and set up their picnic rug so as to make sure that they would be able to have a snooxes

It wasn't the best day for crabbing,  not like the last time Maria went with Steve.  They only ended up bringing one crab home.... At least it would give the girls a taste of what crab is like though...
Still regardless of the catch,  the girls had a great day,  in fact so good, that they are keen to go again one day....
Even Dudi who was very skeptical about whether she really wanted to go, had a ball and was keen to go again...
They did manage to catch two big cod fish, which they bought home and we cooked whole...
Tuesday night was our seafood night.....
Dudi getting stuck into her crab.... most impressed with the flavour...
Hanna was much more keen to go out in the boat and catch the crabs...
She was quite keen to taste them also...
I think the smile says it all....
How do you get into these things?????
Maria is a real pro at this,  having been out and caught them and eaten them on a previous trip down under...
She was quite happy to show her sisters how it was to be done...
Maria enjoys a feed of crab...
The girls getting into it...
Pete is a bit of a pro...
He was sure glad to have a good feed of fish and Crab....

 it was a great day...
Plenty of laughs for us around the dinner table that night as they all tried to steel food from each other..
