CHRISTMAS DAY IN BRISBANE......

What a wonderful family Christmas...
A big one for us, with ten in the house....
Not only did we have our brand new grandson to join us...
We had Peter and his fiance Maria home for Christmas, and Maria's two sisters Dudi and Hanna,
I am so grateful and thankful to Maria's parents for sharing their family with us.  We had a ball....

The morning started with Pete, Maria, Chloe, Dudi and Hanna arriving at Sarah's around 6am to open up their Santa presents.....

Lots of laughs and lots of fun opening our Santa presents...
After we finished doing this, the girls Skyped their parents back in Denmark as it was Christmas Eve over there and that is when the big Christmas celebrations happen for them...
There main Christmas meal is Christmas Eve along with the dancing around the Christmas tree.
We all got to say hello to Maria's parents....It would have been a very quite Christmas for them with there girls all out here celebrating it with us....

Next we were off to church together as a family to celebrate the real meaning of Christmas...
The birth of a baby born in a manager... A baby that came to redeem us all and connect us to our Father in Heaven....  What a priviledge it is to worship this King on this day...

Church for the girls was very different to what they are used to at home....  For a start, Citipointe is a large church and being Christmas there were hundreds of people there.  They have a band, the music is loud and people express their worship by the raising of hands or clapping,   all things that the girls are not used too.....  Dudi, actually videoed part of the service to share with her folks back home....

Then it was time to head home and get lunch on.  We were having a hot turkey and ham roast for lunch and it needed to be put on before we opened the presents under the tree....
Even Penny was eager to receive his presents...
Penny was ready to get her Christmas gifts
Pete acted as Santa this year and handed out all the gifts....

Our little Christmas Elf
Someone is happy with his Christmas gift
Very happy girls...
Ready to hit the Gold Coast now...
Present for Penny

My favourite perfume
Happy Danes
 Willow was really funny,
It was more about opening the presents than actually receiving presents...
She was very keen to help everyone open their present as she thought they wouldn't know how to do it so she offered to help us all....
So cute to watch her in action....
Helping Poppy open his present...
Dudi loves her pants...
Pretty exciting.... what can it be.....
Thoroughly spoilt rotten.... Thank You Dan and Chloe
One very happy fiance
Christmas lunch was held out doors this year,  true Aussie style... and as usual we all ate too much and then crashed after lunch...

What a very special Christmas this has been celebrating with our new family members from Denmark....  It will go down as being one of the best...
Looking forward to catching up with Maria's family again in July when we head to Denmark for Pete and Maria's wedding...
