EASTER AT TANNUM AGAIN....

We have been going to Tannum for many years,  definitely longer than I have been keeping this blog which will be 10 years this year...

This is the third year in a row that Sarah and Willow and now this year Max has joined us for our week away.  We love that she loves to come... Dan and Chloe also joined us this year.... We really missed you both Pete and Maria...
Hopefully it will happen one year....
Where on earth do you start recording a week away like this.....
Our really good friends Ian and Kathy also joined us this year....

We were a little more segregated this year as we moved our camp area over to a less populated area of the park.... It made it a lot harder for us to leave our van area and wander over and join the others...  Still we had our good friends beside us and Sarah had close friends of hers on the other side of us so we definitely had a great time away even if the kids were pretty much sick the whole time we were away..

Our days were filled with relaxing,  fishing,  walking, swimming,  chatting,  eating, some shopping,  a bit of movie watching... All in all the sort of holiday we all enjoy...

Tannum really is a beautiful spot to holiday...
Beautiful views, caters to everyone with lovely walks, parklands, lookouts, playgrounds, fishing, water sports.  And the icing on the cake is that it is not crowded like other beaches....
This post is about sharing some of the lovely views around the Tannum

The tide is almost in...

Looking up the creek...

Sunrise is quite spectacular on the east coast....
We are looking forward to sunsets on the west coast when we head off next year on another of our big trips...

 So beautiful....
Sunsets were also quite lovely....

Sunsets
They is a lovely climb just across the road from the children's playground...
It is definitely worth the walk up as the view is pretty spectacular....
It is nice to watch the ships line up to go into port in Gladstone...

Views from the lookout...
There are some lovely walks along the beach front and one of these walks takes you right around to Picnic Point.  This is a lovely park area with lots of bbqs and picnic takes and it has the most fantastic views... I wish I had taken my camera with me the day I went around,  but Ian and Kathy had been a few days early and taken a few of these shots...

Wild Cattle Island is easily accessible at low tide and there is quite a little community over there...

I am so glad we got to share this lovely week away with such good friends...
