Steve got back from his fishing trip and we packed the van and headed for Hervey Bay for a week....
After our big holiday overseas we were actually looking forward to staying put for a week and just putting our feet up and relaxing....
I feel so blessed to have amazing family and friends. Our good friends the Forwards joined us for the week, along with their daughters and grandchildren. A couple of the little girls were around Willow's age so she had playmates the whole time she was there and had an absolute ball...
Hervey Bay is a GREAT place to have a family holiday with plenty of things to do and most of them free....
They have the most AWESOME free water park at Piabla......
We visited it most days....
The kids just loved it there and we enjoyed seeing all the fun they had there...
Be prepared for a HUGE photo share....
Records perfectly they bonds they have with each other and the fun they all collectively had....
Hervey Bay is definitely a great place to have a family holiday.
Then the fun began...

The littlies loved this area but the bigger boys wandered off and came back to tell us about a surf pool they had found. It was attached to this area, but it wasn't free. Still it wasn't that expensive, I think about $15 but they had about 45 minutes of fun on it.....

Whilst the big kids waited their turn to surf, the littlies went on a walk with Mel to discover what other joys were in the park.....
Sarah had a ball in the wave pool....
She loves to surf at the best of times, so the big kid came out in her again...

The very first time we went here, Steve and Ian were out fishing with Lloyd so it really was only a girls day out with the kids... They had such a good time though that they begged us to take them back gain. Unfortunately by the time we did make it back, Melody and her children had headed back to Brissie, but Alan, Linda and their children had arrived to spend a few days with us also.
So of course this time we had to go back and take the kids, so at least Alan and Linda's kids got to experience some fun at this amazing park. The weather hadn't been to good the previous day which is what prevented us from going back to the Water park.
Willow absolutely loved having her Poppy there and dragged him around with her the whole time.

Such a great time was had by all...
Definitely a place to take the children back
Definitely a park to come back to for another holiday..
