PETE AND MARIA ARRIVE HOME...

So excited to see these pair...
Steve and I were invited to a wedding in Toowoomba the week before Chloe and Dan's wedding.  Initially we weren't going to go but then thought about it and thought we could kill two birds with the one stone by going to the wedding (which was great by the way) and then we could drive Pete, Maria and Willow back to Rockhampton for Chloe and Dan's wedding....

Pete actually flew in a week earlier and stayed with Sarah so that he could catch up with a few of his friends here before Maria joined him the week before the wedding...

Sarah and Brady's wedding in Toowoomba was absolutely beautiful and I am kicking myself that I left the camera in the our car when we took my nieces car to the wedding.  We left our car with Sarah and the children so that they could get around.....

It was great to be in Brissie for when Maria arrived and we all went out to the airport to greet her.
We had an early start the next morning to drive back to Rocky as we still had heaps to do before Dan and Chloe's big day...

Pete was actually quite sick when he was in Brisbane, with a dreadful head cold, cough and just feeling miserable in general.  Unfortunately he ended up giving it to the rest of us....

We bought Willow home with us as Sarah was flying up so that they could take our spare car home.  It doesn't cost anything to fly with Max as he is under two but she would have had to pay a full fare for Willow, hence her traveling home with us...

WE made sure though that we had plenty of fun stopping along the way.  She was incredibly good for us and didn't whinge at all...

Car trip - and someone is already asleep
Very happy to be traveling with Aunty Maria
Mirriam Vale has just put in a wonderful new playground and we have driven past it a couple of times now on our journeys south, and each time have thought how much we would love to take the kids there.

Well we stayed for a half hour play on our way home.  Willow wasn't the only one who loved it....

The big kids all loved it as well.  It is an AWESOME playground.....
Climbing right up high...
Pretty happy with herself

happy some fun with her Poppy
Amazing bit slippery slide...
Uncle Pete was keen to try this one out.   the race was on....
Still a big kid at heart...

 He ended up beating Willow...
but heights don't seem to phase her.  She was up and down it also...
And of course Poppy couldn't be left out could he.....
He had to come down it as well....

 Then there were the swings...
Aunty Maria joined them on this one...
great big swings...

The playground is quite magical with even a very special area for the real littlies like Max.  Pity he wasn't here to enjoy it with us, although I can tell you know that next time we travel with them back to Rocky there will be a play stop scheduled here...

One of the other exciting things about this park is the water play area.  We saw quite a few of these overseas but it is a first here and it was great.  Pete really enjoyed it,  the boys had a ball playing with it.... Men never grow up there is always a boy lurking deep withing....
Amazing water play area...
The other awesome thing in this park was this jumping/mini trampoline pit.  Willow loved this and we had trouble getting her off it..
Mini Trampoline pit...
Playing with water....
Enjoying a swing also...
So glad we stopped here. It is a great park... brings out the kid in you. I am sure we will stop here again with the grandkids at some stage down the track...
