THE GRANDCHILDREN COME HOME FOR A VISIT.....

After not seeing our grandchildren for six months, it was good to be home and have them come home and spend a week at our place.....

It was a pretty action packed with with movie  visits, shopping trips, swimming and water park play along with a visit to the Botanical Gardens and the Zoo.

Steve and Sarah even managed to have a father/daughter day out fishing, whilst I had a day with the grandchildren... Such a great time...

Play date at the shopping centre
This was all new.... so many changes whilst we were away... It was right in the middle of the food court at our main local shopping centre....  The kids loved playing here and it was nice to watch them interacting with the other children and befriending them.
Gracemere also received a new playground and water park whilst we were away so we took the children out to spend the afternoon out here.  We spent a couple of hours here... they loved the water park and also loved the new playground.  It is hard to believe that so many things had changed in the short six months were were away...
A visit to the zoo and Botanical Gardens is always a favouritive with the children and they were super keen to take an old loaf of bread to feed the turtles.  Max is at a good age now to appreciate the visits and he took a super interest in all the animals....

Willow is so excited about starting school, that all she wanted to do was play school and teachers.  Se was an amazing student and was keen to have a good at making up her own words an doing a lot of te activities I have made to do with my little cherubs. She loved playing school as long as she could be a teacher...
So neat and particular with her work....
If only all my students were this keen and excited.  It is so good to see her thirst for learning at such a young age... I can see she is going to thrive at school this year...

We had lots of storybook time too.  Max is really loving his books at the moment.  He wasn't as interested in books at a young age like Willow was but he has made up for it now....
He loves to read these days

Boy did we enjoy our week with these adorable kids....  Can't wait to spend more time with them now that we are back on the east coast...
