FATHER'S DAY

We enjoyed a lovely day together for Father's Day this year.
We went to church together and then decided to go and get Subway and head up to top of Mt Archer for a picnic lunch and a walk along the new board walk through the trees.  It was one of the new additions to town whilst we were away on our trip last year and we hadn't got to visit it and see it yet...

It was a delightful day, perfect weather, blue skies and lots of other people had the same idea as us as there were people everywhere up there enjoying the weather and having picnics.

Beautiful views overlooking Rockhampton

Just enjoying being out and about together... Love this man

 Our picnic lunch:
Perfect weather, perfect day...
Our lunch
After our lunch we decided to go for a walk along the new tree top walk around the side of Mt Archer.  It is still not finished yet, and I am sure it will be amazing once it is...  The new section will take you to another lookout which will give you views of the Capricorn Coast...
Amazing views of Rockhampton

 And then the walk way
From here we headed back into town.  We had a couple of things to pick up from the shopping centre so whilst we were there we decided to go have ice cream together as a treat.  We have both been pretty good with our eating this past couple of months, avoiding where we can foods with chemicals or preservatives, and whilst this ice cream is expensive, it is made on the premises and has not added chemicals or preservatives so we were going to enjoy this treat....
Father's Day Treat....
So good - Rum and Raisin, and Ferraro Roche Chocolate ice cream...
We decided to go for a drive out to Pink Lily, Alton Downs and Ridgelands, and then head through the farming landing back across towards Gracemere and home.  It was a lovely afternoon together and we really enjoyed it.

Highlight for Steve was getting phone calls from all his kids.  Feeling so incredibly blessed...
We are all so blessed to have this amazing man as husband, father and grandfather.
