APRIL ROLLS AROUND AND THE GRANDCHILDREN COME FOR A VISIT.....

We have two exciting months ahead of us, as Pete and Maria and baby Theo are due home this month..

Firstly though, Sarah, Willow and Max come for a visit.  Max is obsessed with trains, and wanted to go for a ride in a train, so Steve and I decided to bring them up to Rocky for a visit.  This time instead of flying, they caught the tilt train up.  Whole new experience for them.  It also meant that Sarah could drive our second car back to Brissie so that Pete and Maria had a car when they arrived in a couple of weeks time.

The kids hadn't really be up to spend a week with us for about quite a while and there were quite a few new parks that had opened in Rocky since their previous visit.  Sarah needed to complete one of her Uni Assignments, and Steve had quite a bit of school work to get on top of, as we had taken some long service leave, for the start of the following term, so that we could spend the time with Pete and Maria whilst they were home.

It just so happened that the big Capri Con Festival was being held the day after Sarah and the children arrived, so that was our first big outing..

It was great... The kids really loved it, there was so much there for them to do, and the best part about it all was that it was free to go...

A visit to the Capri Con Steampunk & Pop Culture Convention
Ejoying working on some craft

Whilst Willow queued up to get some face painting done, Max and I went exploring and then out to find the jumping castles....
His own balloon cave...

He was real keen to jump and slide
It was time to wander back then and see where Willow was in the queue only to find that she was in the middle of having her face painted.

Whilst Willow was having her face painted, Max was keen to get some balloon art made up.
He wanted a penguin...
a very happy little girl..

Waiting for their balloon art to be made...

A very happy Max
Almost as big as him
Willow with her snow globe...

It was a great afternoon out,  pity we didn't realize how good it was, we could have gone earlier and spent more time wandering around...

New adventures tomorrow.  We are off to ride the mini steam trains...
