MORE HOLIDAY FUN IN APRIL... RIDING THE MINI STEAM TRAINS....

On the second day the children were here, we went to church in the morning, and then had lunch out... Sarah had a Uni Assignment deadline, and Steve was trying to get all his ATRs done by the time we were to set off on our holidays....

To give them some peace and quiet, I decided to take the children down to the Mini Steam Railway Station.  On the first Sunday of each Month, the mini steam trains operate in a park not far from us.  It is very reasonaly priced with a cost of $2 per ride, and for that they do three laps of the train track which takes about 20 minutes.  Max was in his element... Willow enjoyed it but after one lap she was satisfied whereas Max wanted to go again.   Willow is a wonderful sister and agreed to go with Max again as she knew he just loved trains.

Meanwhile I enjoyed taking some photos of them as they traveled around....

We spent most of the afternoon riding these trains....
We ended up at Macca's for an ice cream, but once the kids got there and saw the slushies, they changed their minds and wanted, mixed slushie drinks.  The kids also had a good play in the playground.... They weren't that keen to head home afterwards...

They have had an awesome afternoon.  That is what this holiday is all about, finding some fun things to do with them, to create memories to last a lifetime....
