DAY 4 AND WE ARE OFF TO THE MOVIES TODAY...
We're off to the movies to see Dumbo today.. Both the children were very excited. It was different to what I expected it to be. I guess I was thinking that it would be a cartoon movie, but in fact it wasn't, there were real characters which made it a little more life like for the kids and just a little scary for Max. Once he climbed up onto my lap, he was right and we enjoyed it.
After the movie, we walked across to Shopping Fair, to pick up a couple of things and have a bit of lunch. Willow needed some new shoes, so we picked up a couple of pairs for her on sale at Cotton On. Just outside of Cotton On, Max spied the Wiggles Car and of course, we had to have a play on it... I didn't mind, it was nice to see them playing so well together and using their imaginations. I love this time with the children.
Willow loved her new Dinosaur Dress and loved that it twirled, and even though we were in the middle of a shopping centre she was happy to put on a little dance concert for me. Love that kids have no inhibitions. They love to play and I love to watch them...
They decided that they were hungry so we headed off to the Food Court to grab some lunch... Meanwhile, as we passed Gus's Coffee, Max spied the Motorbike, so then we had to stop again so that Max could have a ride, and both children wanted their photos taken on it....
After having been to Macca's the last couple of days, I convinced the children that we had to have a healthy lunch today. Willow chose fruit salad, and Max and I shared a salad wrap... They were keen to get it eaten as they had spied the playground in the food court and of course that is where they wanted to head for a play...

It was very hard to get Max away from this playground. Try reasoning with a three year old who has no concept of time. Willow could understand that we needed to go because we were going to be doing something else equally exciting...
We raced home, and I got the kids changed into their swimmers and then we headed out to Gracemere for the afternoon. They have a new water park play area out there with an awesome playgroupd as well. We spent a good couple of hours out there. As it was holiday time, it really was quite busy...
They spent a good hour playing in the water before they started to get cold, so we toweled off and then it was over to the playground for a play..
After all their hard playing for the previous few hours, the kids were pretty thirsty, so we stopped off at Maccas again on the way home where they ordered one of the $1 frozen drinks. This time I convinced them that we really didn't have time for a play as we needed to get home for dinner. Max loves his food, so it wasn't hard to convince him when it was time to leave...
On our way back into town, we noticed the sun setting and it really lit up the sky, so the children and I decided to drive up to the lookout above Jardine Park to watch the sun set. We got to talk about all the things we were thankful for, especially thanking God for painting the sky such beautiful colours. It was such a lovely way to end the day with these amazing children...
Tomorrow we have more exciting adventures planned... Willow is off to the movies again with a friend of ours who is taking his grand daughter Nikki to the movies. Nikki is only a year or so older than Willow and the girls get on really well.
Max and I are off to the gardens to see the Chimps and all the animals. The days are flying by way too quickly....
