HEADING TO THE SUNSHINE COAST....

The kids time in Rocky has come to an end, and they head home today.  They are taking our second car back to Brisbane, as we are giving it to our son and his family to use whilst they are in Australia.
We pretty much travelled together until the Sunshine Coast turnoff, when we left them to go visit my dad on the Coast.

We hadn't seen him since before our trip to Denmark at Christmas time, so wanted to spend a couple of nights with him on the coast.

We got there mid afternoon.  We had a pretty quite afternoon, as we were a little tired, and it was good to just catch up with Dad.

The following day we joined him at Macca's for his early morning coffee, and the took him to Sizzler's before heading for a drive up towards Noosa to check out the AirBnB that we had booked for our family holiday in May.

This lovely beach is within walking distance of the AirBnB we have booked near Noosa.
The walk down onto the beach.....
Lovely Sunshine Beach.. We are so spoilt in Australia with kilometres and kilometres of unspoilt beaches with hardly anyone of them....
A five minute walk away from our accommodation is a great little shopping precinct with a newsagency, foodstore, and coffee shops, tapas bars and in general it has a great little vibe.

Across the road, is a nice park area with swings and a playground, an idea place to walk the kids down for a play..
We get to stay in this amazing home all together for 8-9 days.  Looking forward to spending a whole week with the family here.  It certainly meets our expectations, and the location is ideal, close to beaches, and little restaurants,  supermarkets are down the road, and a five minute drive to Noosa...
After checking out our accommodation, we stopped off in Coolum to visit my sister and her husband and had a cuppa with them.  We left them around 4pm as Dad was getting quite tired and was keen to head home...

It's been a great day, and I feel so thankful that we live in this amazing country.
