CHECKING OUT NOOSA TODAY....
It is great when you can have a holiday where everyone feels free to do
their own thing. Colin and Sarah decided that they would love to just go out for Breakfast together this morning. Not having family in Brissie, it is rare for them to get some couple time. Pete and Maria, decided to take Theo back to the beach, and Chloe still had a little more work to do on her assignment before the end of the week.
Steve and I decided to take the children for a drive to Noosa, as it has been years since we have been there.... We ended up at Noosa Sound, where we met Dan who was also checking out the area...
We took them for a walk right to the point....

There were some lovely picnic areas around here and quite a few of the workers would bring their morning tea around here to sit and eat it. We could understand why, as it is just a gorgeous spot and so peaceful..

Looking for little fish... |
Max was fascinated by the bush turkey that was wondering around. They definitely weren't afraid of the humans...
It was at this point that we ran into Dan. With no one else back at the house, and Chloe working on an assignment, he decided that he was going to go for a drive also, and ended up where we were...
Whilst he and Steve were checking out the size of the fish, and deciding that they would return later in the afternoon for a bit of a fish, the children got quite creative and decided to collect a lot of the leaves, and seed pods and play shops. I love it when they get back to Nature and use their imagination to play...

The area hasn't changed a whole lot, but it quite lovely and very peaceful
We grabbed some fish and chips, and headed across to the park to find a table. Mostly they were all gone, but a lovely lady offered to share her space with us...
There were lots of pelicans around... such graceful birds when in full flight... Steve and Max wandered over to them, but they took off in the end...
After we had finished our lunch we went for a walk up to the playground so that the children could have a swing and play in the playground. On the way to the playground we came across the BIG PELICAN, so of course had to have our photo taken with him...

It was after 2pm by the time I got home, and only Dan and Chloe were home. Steve and Dan were keen to grab their rods and head back to Noosa Spit to fish the incoming tide. I was happy to just stay home and put my feet up....
My sister Lea dropped in for a quick visit, and I got the name of her Chiropractor off her so that I could try and make an appointment ASAP to have my back seen to, as I knew that I would not be able to do anything with everyone until it was adjusted again.. I rang them to see if I could get in to see someone that afternoon but they were totally booked out until 2pm the following afternoon... so I resigned myself to the fact that I wouldn't be doing too much in the next 24 hours...
Fortunately, the children knew that I wasn't feeling too flash, and they played beautifully together for the afternoon until their parents got home...
I have been very blessed these holidays in that I really haven't had to prepare too many meals at all... The kids have all taken turns at cooking for the lot of us.
It was Pizza night tonight, and Pete prepared one of his specialities, and Dan and Chloe decided to cook Apricot Chicken pizzas for us all...
We all dived into some amazing pizzas put together by Pete, Dan and Chloe...
Love how the dining area in this house, allows each one of us to sit at the table and enjoy a meal together...
It's been a full on day, but a good one... Tomorrow there are plans afoot to take the children up to Maleny to the Maleny Dairy. The kids should love it. Unfortunately, I doubt that I will be up to going until I have my back adjusted...
