FAREWELLS AND WE ARE ALL HEADING HOME....

We really didn't want to get up this morning... that meant the holiday was over and we had a fair bit to do before 10am when we were to vacate the premises....
We also wanted to spend as much time with Theo as we could this morning, as it would be at least 18 months or more until we saw him again....  We are going to miss this little cherub, and he will have grown so much by the time we see him again....
My sister Lea and her husband Mal came to visit us to say goodbye... and we all joined together for a family breakfast... One last meal together before we left...
A family breakfast together... - lots of left overs...
it was then a mad rush to get everything cleaned up and get our gear out into the cars.  We were only heading through to Bundaberg this evening... We planned to spend a night with Steve's parents..
Before leaving though, we wanted to get a few photos of us with the grandchildren, and also a photo of our children all together...

With our gorgeous Grandchildren....
Our amazing children and grandchildren....
It was a very sad trip to Bundy... After spending a month with our children it was time to head home.... no more holidays to look forward too... just work....
Also we knew that it would be a good 18 months before we would get to see Pete and Maria again, and we were already missing them...

We had a good run through to Bundy, stopping off at Apple Tree Creek for an hour or so to catch up with good friends Lyn and Milton Hobbs.  It has been a while since we have seen them, so it was good to catch up on all their news...

We arrived in Bundy mid afternoon.  Steve's Mum was preparing a Chicken Banquet for us for dinner that night.  It is her signature dish, and all the family love it...
Our amazing roast chicken dinner....
Steve's Mum's Roast chicken dinners are sensational, and we always feel spoilt when we go home and she has cooked it for us.. Steve normally takes a photo of his meal so he can send it to his brothers and tease them with it....

We wanted to get away pretty early the following morning, as we wanted to be back home in Rocky by lunch time, so that we could get all the unpacking done, and get everything put away before heading back to work the following day.  I knew I had a huge week ahead of me as it was our
Book Fair week.

We did make a morning tea stop in Miriam Vale where we stopped for some of the Miriam Vale's famous Crab sandwiches...

They are quite famous.  We picked them up and then headed into the back street to this lovely parkland that has all been done up in the last few year...

Well our holidays are over,  five wonderful week with family... it is back home to the grindstone now.  Back to work tomorrow....  Missing our  family all ready....
