We were only home for a week, when I had a girls weekend away. Our annual scrap camp is held down at the Haven at Emu Park...
The location is stunning, amazing views along the Capricorn Coast, not only from the scrap room but also our accommodation...
This year we had fifteen girls turn up for the weekend. I have not been very organised in regards to scrapbooking. In fact my suitcase with all my supplies has not even been opened since the 2016 weekend we had away. Something I need to rectify in the next year or so...
Like the past couple of years, my focus this year was completely my travel books from our lap around Australia. I didn't have too much more today, as I was up to South Australia with them.
It is always a little bit of an effort to pack up and get ready for scrap camp, but once there it is a totally enjoyable weekend.
This year a few of us met for lunch first on the Friday to try out a lovely little local cafe that has opened in Emu Park...
Then it was back to the Haven to unpack and set up our gear in the scrap room.

We stayed in Joseph's Cottage...

The scraproom itself, has plate glass windows all around, so it doesn't matter where you sit, you overlook the coast... It always makes my heart glad when we are there...

We woke up Saturday morning to an amazing Sunrise across the coast....

Sunrise on the Capricorn Coast |
Just a beautiful start to another amazing day on the Capricorn Coast. We spent the day scrapbooking, and then this year instead of going to the local pub for dinner, we decided to hold a medieval feast on the verandah of the scraproom...
Everyone got dressed up in character for the evening, and it was the only chance we got to get a group photo... Normally we do it in the afternoon, but somehow we missed it this time.... so my record of the 2019 scrap camp has us all looking medieval...
