Had some medical appointments this week, so whilst they were being taken care of, we enjoyed some time on the Gold Coast. We also had my sister Jude with us who was in the process of moving from Toowoomba to Bundaberg, so it was nice to share some sibling time with her also...
Whilst we didn't do a lot of exploring whilst we were here, as our time was mainly for rest and healing, we did venture out for afternoon drives...
We had hired a an AirBnB which was situated pretty close to Southport for the week. It was very reasonably priced, and although it was fairly small, it suited our requirements for the week..

The only down side was that there was no proper lounge or comfortable chair in the place. Obviously this apartment is more suited for the younger generation, but for the price, we couldn't really complain...

They had a lovely deck up on the room, that all the guests were able to use, and we made the most of this on the weekend when our kids all came to visit us...

It was nice having the time away with my sister... It was a pity my brother in law couldn't make it, but we have all decided we need to do it again with them tagging along as well.
