Everyone was happy to do their own thing this morning....
Ian and Kathy were off to take out Kathy's brother Matt and sister Lyn for a drive around the Bay and then off to the RSL for lunch...
John and Barb wanted to head down to the Marina and go for a drive around the Bay also, and Steve wanted to do a spot of fishing down on the beach front. We also wanted to try and catch up with Sim and Lloyd and also visit Annie and Gabe who were also holidaying down at the Bay.
We headed down to the beach a little after 9am... and dropped in to see Lloyd and Sim, but they were not home. We knew they were at the Bay because the dog was still there.

Unpacking the fishing gear.. |
Steve had tried the previous day to catch up also, but no one was around. I decided that I would go and sit on the beach for a while and watch Steve fish. Unfortunately, the tide was right in and there was no beach to sit on...

No beach to sit on today... The tide was right in... |

Living the dream... he would be happy if he could fish each day.... |
This part of the beach is very sheltered, no waves at all. I think that Fraser Island really does shelter this part of the coastline and today the wind was blowing from the opposite direction which meant it was nice on the beach but not so nice back at the caravan park...

Canoeing at the Bay |
I sat up on the headlands and watched Steve for about half an hour or so until the sun got a little hot and then decided to go and see if I could find where Annie and Gabe where staying... They were at the Windmill Caravan Park in Elizabeth Street which wasn't really too far from where we were staying...
We had a lovely catch up and they were so thrilled to see me. I think Annie was wondering whether I would contact them, so they were delighted to see me. We enjoyed a lovely cuppa together... and had our photos taken for good measure...

A visit with Annie and Gabe... |
Meanwhile whilst we were doing our own thing, John and Barb went off to have morning tea and explore the coast....
After enjoying morning tea around at the Boat Harbour, they headed back to Urangun to check out the markets and then take a stroll out along the pier....

From here they headed back along the esplanade to check out the Water Park back at at Pialba. This is a great area for kids and last time we were here with our grandchildren we spent a lot of time here... Since we were here in 2016, they have built a great new skate park and playground around this area also, and there is also a giant ferris wheel set up here now too... All new things for the kids to explore next time we bring them here to holiday...

I left Annie and Gabe a little after noon to go back and pick Steve up from his fishing. We were heading home for a quick bit to eat before I needed to head out to the shops to pick up a couple of things for dinner... We checked in on Lloyd and Sim again on our way home but they were still not home...
Barb and John decided to stop back in at Enzo's for lunch and arrived back to the van a few minutes before we arrived home...

We had left overs back at the Van... |

We were all feeling a little tired, so all hit the sack for a nanna nap straight after lunch...
Ian and Kathy were still not back by 3pm, so Steve took Barb and I down to Woolworths for me to pick up a few things for dinner that night as we were on the cooking. Something light and easy, so it was a Taco night for us...
After we did our shopping, we went for a drive around to the Boat Harbour also before heading back to the Caravan Park.

By the time we got back to the caravan park Ian and Kathy were back and had managed a bit of a nanna nap themselves.... Ian had told us about a van in the park that had a quadruple axis... something we had never seen before so we took off to check it out ourselves. The van was massive... much to big as far as we were concerned. It wasn't particularly attractive either as it was quite box like without a lot of windows. We also checked out the playgrounds and other amenities in the caravan park... It is a great place to stay at...

The caravan park backs onto these lovely ponds where the birdlife is pretty prolific.. Such a pretty area...
Dotted around the caravan park are several BBQ areas that guests can use...

By the time we got back to our van, Ian and Kathy had wandered over, and so it was happy hour where we all got together to share a cuppa and cheese and crackers whilst we got dinner ready... We have been in the habit of having our meals together each evening. It was quite cool and windy outdoors this evening so we decided to head over to Ian and Kathy's cabin for a card night... We have enjoyed getting together and playing cards whilst we have been here....
Barb was keen to try a new card game tonight so we pulled out our pack of UNO Flip....
It's a great game and we had a lots of good laughs whilst we played...
We finished playing around 10pm.
