Whilst the main reason for flying to Brisbane was to be there for Willow's Birthday, Max and I had some fun, Moppy and Max time also.
Willow spent half the day at school on her birthday... Whilst Sarah was at home icing her beautiful birthday cake, my friend Kathy and I took our grandchildren Hope and Max to "Lollipops" for a play date.... These pair play so well together, they enjoy getting together, and Kathy and I get a good chance to have a chat also....
In fact Max was so excited about his play date, that he was constantly asking me all morning "When is Kathy coming"..... "I think you should ring Kathy, Moppy and she is she is coming".. He was up and dressed..... no problems at all getting him ready....

Max enjoying the big inflated slide.... |
 |
They enjoyed riding in the little red car..... |
They also had a lot of fun in the jumping castle. In fact it was hard to get them to sit down and have some morning tea.....
 |
Enjoying his little teddies... |
Then it was straight back into playing again...
 |
They had a ball in the ball pit... |
Whilst these guys had a great play together, Kathy and I had a good chance to chat up with sharing news about our kids, our upcoming holidays.... She is one of my dearest friends....
They were having such a wonderful time playing together we wondered how we would be able to convince them to leave when it was time to go home. Hope was keen to have an ice-cream so we told her that she could play a little longer and then we would get them an ice-cream just before it was time to go home. Hopefully that would distract them from play and they would be happy to come home then...
We needed to be gone by 11.30am as Sarah wanted me home before lunch so that we could go and collect Willow and take her out to get her ears pierced, so around 11am we tried rounding them up to go and choose their ice-cream. They both went for the most brightly coloured ice-cream, a bubblegum flavoured one...

Two very happy little kids |
 |
Full of colour and full of sugar - sure to send them hyper.... |
And them just to hurry them up a little more, I promised them a ride in the little red car...
They were very good, and when their ride was over, they were very happy to come...
Once we got back to Sarah's, the kids had a little play together with a couple of balloons before it was time for us to leave and go and pick up Willow....
I think Sarah really appreciated us taking the kids out for the morning, because it gave her a good chunk of time to make a birthday cake for Willow... Willow had picked a pretty elaborate Fairy House cake for her birthday this year, and Sarah did an awesome job recreating it... In fact her's looked a lot better than the one in the book.
